Husband and myself are staying for a work trip at Holiday Inn Express Downtown Tulsa. We where booked Monday - Thursday for my husbands work and we decided to extend our stay through Saturday. We arrived Monday and I noticed that the AC unit was making a horrible sound and would not turn off. When you press the off button on the unit the motor continued to run. I went downstairs to the front desk to ask for service. I was told that maintenance would be up to the room Tuesday morning. Mid morning Tuesday, I returned to the front desk to remind them of our issue and was told that he was asked to run shuttle and would be up when he returned; he did not. I went to the front desk a total of six times asking when he would be to the room to check the AC ( I'm working from the room while my husbands in training). NO ONE SHOWED. Finally we left for dinner at 5:30 Tuesday night and again I asked about service, they said he would be right up. We returned to the room at 8:30 with the same issue still. Here it is Wednesday and I again went downstairs to ask about service. He finally made it to the room at 10:10 am to check the AC. "The motor's going out and needs rebuilt. We can move you rooms" per maintenance. I told him that would be fine and we moved down the hall. After moving all of our stuff I went to the front desk to turn in the old room key. I stated to the woman behind the desk that we requested service on the AC Monday night and it was now 11 am Wednesday and we were finally accommodated. For this I requested they comp the Thursday and Friday night stay for the inconvenience they caused; working from the room and dealing with non-stop headaches due to noise. I was told "We do not comp rooms. I can offer you points for another stay". This might be good for some but we do not travel and that does us no good. I told her this and asked to speak with either a supervisor or manager. SHE IS THE GM!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm baffled at this point; you really think treating your customers like this is acceptable? I have never been rude when asking about service nor did I make a rage demanding another room. All I wanted was for someone to look at the AC when we arrived 3 days ago.
