I had the worst experience one could imagine. I spent over 7 years stationed in Germany so I try to be the most understanding American when visiting tourist locations. I make an honest attempt to speak the local language, use the local currency, and leave my money in the local economy. I do not walk around haggle locals or assuming everyone should know English. My experience with Dreams tulum was terrible from beginning to end.
1. My room reservation was incorrect at check in. I spent over 3 hours trying to get checked in.
2. The resort did not have any welcome gifts or welcome banners to decorate my room, as advertised in their Dream big package I purchased.
3. I booked the preferred deluxe king swim out suite and on the second night of my stay a man in the suite above urinated in my pool. See video attached
4. The hotel did NOTHING to accommodate, not even move my room. No credit. NOTHING.
5. When calling for a car to take my physically disabled girlfriend to the main restaurants I was directed to wait outside for the car to pull up, they refused to come and knock, or at the least honk.
6. I booked a private dinner on the beach for my girlfriend and I, which included a lamb and shrimp dinner. On arrival I was told we would be seated inside one of the regular restaurants and be served beef instead. I was repeatedly passed over for white guests when being served at the bar. I waited patiently, addressed them in Spanish, and tipped appropriately.
Throughout the duration of my stay I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff. I spent thousands of dollars to celebrate my significant other and it was a miserable trip. I could go on for days. DO NOT STAY AT DREAMS TULUM!

Our stay at the resort was a 3.5/5. I think the advantage of the all inclusive was only worth it if you had a VIP room. Having the swim up room was nice to have some time separate from the busy pools. I think the biggest draw back that kept the resort from being a 5 was the food, it was really basic. The quality was holiday inn breakfast, lunch and dinner. The drinks were at least good, much better at the VIP bars for sure. The beach location and isolation from the rest of the Tulum ***** was really nice, we really enjoyed the beach area. It was a bit of a difference from the Tulum nightlife so get ready to pay a considerable amount for a taxi there from the resort.

Excelente servio por parte de los chicos de animación en especial el chico Erick , ya que fue la única persona que se acercó a nosotros y nos hizo pasar un agradable momento, interactuamos en par de juegos tradicionales ..... Y recalcar el servicio de bar , Excelente atención y personal a la altura ....

This trip started out so fun, traveling there, excited to get there. This hotel is TIRED and needs a lot of work. The rooms are old and run down. Our shower and bath did not have hot water, and the air conditioning stopped working after the first 3 days. The bride and groom we were there to see get married were robbed. They had to switch rooms because nothing was working in their room including outlets. In transit, someone stole $1,400 US Dollars and two sets of head phones valuing over $600 from the brides purse. The staff was NOT helpful in recovering the lost cash and goods. It set the tone for the entire trip. Several members of our group of approximately 30 people had issues and I am sure will be writing a review as well. General consensus, avoid this hotel if at all possible.

Our stay was pretty amazing overall! The only negative experience was the sneaky Hyatt Vacation Club timeshare meeting. I didn’t pay for my visit based on a Hyatt promo for their vacation club, so was a little frustrated that I was persuaded under false pretenses to attend a special meal only to then be aggressively sold a outrageous timeshare buy-in. However, the resort, amenities, location within Tulum and STAFF, was top tier! Alex and Erick on the entertainment team, were AMAZING! literally two of my favorite humans who I cannot wait to go back and see, just for them!

Our family stay at Dreams Tulum was unforgettable, and much of that is thanks to the incredible entertainment team! From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time, from kids to adults. Their energy, enthusiasm, and creativity were truly unmatched. Whether it was beach games, poolside activities, or evening shows, the entertainment team kept the atmosphere lively and engaging. They made an effort to get to know us personally, making our experience feel even more special.
