Buffet is unbelievable! Restaurants were great as well. The pool and all the things you can do are awesome. I’ll definitely go back. The only thing I would change is the depressed ladies working in the coffee shop

Where do I start. We have been coming to Bahia for years and this year did not disappoint at all. My birthday was a great evening of dining and special decorations in my room. Geo Quijada, what a gem. If it wasn’t for him I don’t think I would have left with as big as a smile I did. He made everyday special. Said hi every time he saw us. Made us feel so much like family. The staff has been and will always be the reason we keep coming back. Geo is one of the best examples of what I mean. We can’t wait to come back in November so we can see him and all our family at Bahia again ❤️

Stayed at this hotel in may2024, I have never written a review before, however, the staff were above and beyond, all of the staff work so hard and such long days. The service was amazing, as English we don’t give big tips, but tend to tip little and often, but even without the tips the service was amazing, from the check in and up until Leaving, there were a few staff that stood out Fabian from the snack bar had our drinks ready when we walked in, manuel in both the main restaurant and manual at the beach bar, and all of the ladies derbies drinks by the pool, beach and on the theatre. They deserve a Medal for working so hard in the heat and still smiling making our holiday extra special, we will be going back back. Including the staff that cleaned the rooms, they were so careful that a swimming costume that elastic had gone I threw away and they took it out of the bin thinking it had fell on by accident❤️. Inhave never been Back to the same hotel twice because there is a big world out there, but we are going back. Ages from age 7-58.

Everything was good until today. I understand that there is a hurricane however our flight got canceled and we needed an extra night that we were willing to pay but they say that they can’t give us an extra night. Even though we explained that my father in law couldn’t be moving from resort to resort, we asked to stay in Akumal they said no when I checked their website there is availability. So I’m not coming back to this resort. Not I recommend for people with disabilities.

The resort is excellent coming from a very picky person in choosing hotels and caring for cleanness. Every thing is excellent, the staff are very polite and extremely friendly they are treating you extra nice but not waiting for your tips, it is the last in their mind. Actually they are not waiting for your tips. The place is amazing amazing and great choice for picky travelers as it has it all in one place. So many things you can do in the day and not even one dull moment. The food is above and beyond in the daily buffet. Every thing is cooked to perfections with great verities and selections in every cuisine I can not wait to go again to the same place and same room. One dull thing to say and maybe it is the only one thing I have, no station serving food by the swimming pool area to server the ppl who are looking for a snake by the pool and not looking for full lunch. I'm back and I already I miss every thing there.

Maids kept taking blankets and towels and not replacing. Cheap alcohol, hard to find better quality liquor. Lack of shade and places for kids or teens to go to get out of the sun for a bit. Night life and activities are lacking. Not all inclusive, they charge for certain shows and activities, arcade is extremely expensive.

We loved everything about this property. We stayed in the adult only section and it was definitely worth the upgrade. The concierge service was excellent and Mariana was particularly my favourite. My only complaint is I don't love the sweetener they use in the mixed drinks. I think it is a sugar free sweetener. I learned to ask for things unsweetend.

Family of 5. We stayed at Akumal for 7 days. The 2 room/2 bathroom suite is wonderful. Resort is super clean, safe, and beautiful. Staff are always wonderful. Beach is awesome. Ala carte restaurants are awesome (4 course meals). Ku’uk restaurant is the BEST. If you want the hibachi table at Mikado japanese restaurant, make sure to reserve the “tipanyaki” option (we did not, and when we asked the manager if we could do it she said yes, but we had to buy a bottle for $1500 or $80 USD). Theres only one swim-up pool bar at Akumal, and its small. Theres other swim up bars at the other ones (coba and tulum) which i would not recommend (only had one bartender, had very long wait times). Shows every night (average). Magic show was the best one. Breakfast Buffet closes at 10:30am, which did not work too well for us. Free wifi but is unstable. There is no paper map of the resort, you can find a map on the app, but the app needs lots of improvements. Overall, i do recommend this resort. We had a really good time.
