Quite nice affordable place to spend a night while out in the desert.

Having basic necessities good. Maintenace around and plants was good. The room entry way doesn't have the best secured thresh hold to keep the critters from coming in. The place has no pest control to lay a bug barrier on entry points. I stayed till the next morning. I mentioned the bugs in the room. They sure weren't shocked nor had any concerns if I could have any allergies. Luckly, I don't have but I can't sleep comfortably knowing bugs be roaming the room. The next day I moved to the second floor. felt nice and comfortable. Hours go by up stairs ,just disappointment when using the bathroom. I look down all I see is a cricket moving to my feet. After I look under the bottom sink and see like 3 or more Crickets. All I got was a one hour later checkout.

Older but well cared for property. Lots of 4x4ers and overlandiers staying here. Convenient to ANZA-Borrego and central to Borrego Springs amenities. Stayed two nights after running trails.

Very nice and only find during Coachella... Booked because it was the only one available even tho we did NOT go to Coachella! Very lucky that it was very NICE and surprisingly close to a lot of places. Market, restaurants, ****** and Joshua National Park!!! Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Nice clean hotel, all you need after busy day

An important thing first. If you want breakfast included, book your room at vantage hotels dot com. Book at other sites, and you are not entitled to breakfast. And its a good breakfast, so you should want it. Good location for exploring Joshua Tree NP. The room heat worked, but was imprecise. Thermostat let the room temp go up and down over a very wide range. You have to check in at the hotel next door. If you want ice, you'll need to haul yourself to the hotel next door. Breakfast also at the hotel next door. Wireless internet was weak (and I was using a new tablet purchased just 2 weeks earlier). Bed very comfy, shower good, property generally quiet at night, though its a motel style, so the cars are right outside the room doors. We were on second floor, so the cars did not cause a noise issue. Mini fridge worked, microwave worked. Everything was very clean. Solid grocery store within easy walking distance. The hotel is located on a busy road, not an interstate, but expect an ongoing level of road noise - its better of course if your room is back from the road (which ours was). Kudos to the staff, all were very polite, super friendly and very helpful. Cleaning staff, front desk staff, breakfast person - everyone was without exception great! If your a fuss budget, you'd be wise imo to spend an additional twenty or thirty bucks a night, and go for one of the better hotels in town. But if you are a basic person (or couple), just looking for a place to snooze with few frills, this hotel will work for you. It's a good economy option.

There are several hotels in Twenty-nine Palms, California, and this one is one of the 2 best hotels in the area, and the other hotel works hand in hand with this hotel. It's right on a main road, which makes it a bit noisy, However I got a hotel at the end of the facility, so I didn't hear much of it. The room itself was great. Absolutely no complaints on the room what so ever. The service I got at check in was amazing, as was check out. However I had 3 discrepancies on the hotel. 1: I'm just picky about appearance. When I went to check out the woman was very professional, however was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Much like a disaster I had in Oklahoma, the only thing that indicated that she worked at the hotel was the side of the counter she was on. 2: When I accidentally locked myself out of my room the clerk did not hesitate to get me a replacement key on the spot. I know I shouldn't be complaining about this one, but with just my last name and room number I was able to get a key to my room. I did not have to provide any sort of identification. In theory, anyone could have gotten access to my room. I'm not advocating any sort of moral or legal wrong-doings, but say.... Say you wanted to throw your buddy a surprise hotel party. You can get easy access to his room. 3: Please see the attached photo. I'm not about to trust this pool.
