The rooms were very unclean, mould in both bedroom and bathroom. The shower and towel rail were rusty and overall the stay was uncomfortable. I asked to move rooms, the staff seemed unsurprised, but the rooms I saw all looked in a similar state.

We have used Premier Inns for many years and this has been our worst experience ever. On entering the building it was tired/well used yet appeared to be clean. In our room the bathroom wasn’t very hygienic. There was mould on the walls and ceiling. The toilet bowl had had a glancing wipe but wasn’t very clean. The toilet seat had been well used. This is the first time we felt the need to inspect the duvet cover, sheets and pillows given how poor the standards were elsewhere. The bed was comfy but let down by the cobwebs on the walls. The staff were very pleasant. But everything else was a tremendous disappointment. We had to ask for mould to be removed from the walls in the bathroom; this was quickly addressed by a helpful lady and a liberal application of bleach to the walls. Issues included: mould throughout the room/bathroom, flaking paintwork in the bedroom, electrical gremlins that caused the TV to keep flickering, lights in the bathroom and bedroom that didn’t work, a light in the bathroom wasn’t secure in its mount and was hanging loose, curtain not hanging on the rail, extensive damage to door frames and scuffs to walls, only one chair - so what is the second person supposed to sit on?? We couldn’t have a shower before leaving as corroded chrome from the shower fitment fell into the bath. The building is also situated adjacent to a very busy road so there is traffic noise throughout the entire day and night. Maybe the UPVC window was not properly aligned and that wouldn’t have helped the noise issue. Would we stop here again? - most definitely not. In our opinion this Premier Inn is in urgent need of a complete refurb.

In July we paid for 30 breakfasts for Saturday and 30 Breakfasts for Sunday They closed the restaurant the day of our arrival Friday 5th of July and have never refunded the money The manager is never available to discuss this Whitbread as a company I find this disgraceful

Really spacious rooms, clean and tidy. Nice and quiet at all times. Easy to find with plenty of overflow parking if needed. Excellent customer service, Elise even let me borrow a phone charger when mine broke. Thank you very much ❤️ would deffinelty recommend.

Hotel rooms are tired and need deep clean. Bathroom had mold on the wall and door. Toilet still had skid marks under the rim. Good matras, very friendly and helpful reception staff. Breakfast buffet varies, some days are good, sometimes food is served lukewarm.

Stayed for one night, Liturally off M74 so easy to get to, our room was ok, wine stain on the floor, and rail for towel was rushed on the outer rails, as we were checking in one guy was asking to be moved to another room as his smelt funny. You can hear the motorway traffic all night but that didn't bother me, some might not like it though, plenty of free parking, evening meal in brewers fayre attached to preimer inn was good and breakfast was nice.

My preferred choice, when staying in the area. The place could do with a lick of paint, but hey, could be worse. It's handy for the motorway. Whether it's the hotel/reception or the restaurant, it's the brilliant, attentive staff that make it the best choice, They always get it spot on.

Booked a 2 night stay at this Premier Inn for a mix of business and pleasure and although the food and cleanliness was ok, I did not get a good nights sleep. the hotel took in a coach party who basically ran amuck along the corridors and ruined my nights sleep. I complained several times to the hotel staff who achieved nothing as it continued throughout the early hours of the morning. I have tried to file a claim under the supposed "good nights guarantee" and have heard nothing back.
