very very good! ! Because my husband didn’t really want to stay in a motel, I didn’t have high expectations at first, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. The room is big and clean! It was a very comfortable stay. The location is also very good. There is a famous restaurant next to it. The oysters are really delicious. A really satisfying hotel~

The room was neat but was at the front of the building and with no fence separating us from the road we couldn’t take advantage of opening the door due to the noise and security concerns. The pool is very small and is not private. Everyone in the restuarant and bar can be part of your swim. The pool is part of the dining areas - conducive to being part of everyone’s dinner and drink conversations - no thanks. Breakfast was a disaster. C’mon on people - it was nearly empty but we had to wait 30min for the pre-cooked bacon and eggs. Forget the coffee - they take your order as you sit down and on both mornings we just cancelled it. It’s the only place I know of that takes 1hr to get a coffee. The issue is they all stand around socialising with each other rather than work. On the upside, there is a free shuttle bus to the Bannisters By the Sea for dinner. There is a small number of parking bays under the hotel which is useful. No concierge however. When we checked in we were advised there was a trolley to bring our own stuff up from the car. Girls on the check-in counter need to stop chewing gum - it’s not a good look when greeting customers.

We really enjoyed our time here! Lovely staff, great vibe, amazing food and Mollymook is beautiful. We stayed in a classic room with a street view and thought it was cute and comfortable. I had read a review about the bed being “hard and uncomfortable” but we found it super comfy.. maybe the pillows could be a little better but I guess that comes down to personal preference. The only negative thing I have to say is we did find the room noisy. We thought we had a really noisy neighbour but it was actually the restaurant above us, chairs being pulled in and out, etc. This wouldn’t stop us from going back, we may just ask for a ground floor room next time to avoid the noise. Bannisters was comfortable and relaxed, with everything we needed. Even though we chose the cheaper room with a garden aspect, the outlook was lovely - rain forest.
A highlight was an easy walk to Mollymok beach in the morning we saw dolphins and a sea eagle , with time to buy a coffee from the Bannisters coffe can before the checkout time if 10.30. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

I’ve heard great things about Bannisters in Mollymook. Checking in was Ok, the room is OK. Went up to the rooftop for dinner on the first night. Was met by an unwelcoming staff member and taken to our table. Menu is restricted and overall felt like an inconvenience. However, the great thing about our stay was the breakfast staff. All of the staff were welcoming, engaging and couldn’t do enough for my husband and I. Thank you to the breakfast staff, especially Sari.

The evening meal was the only disappointment; overpriced for what you got; however the next morning breakfast was great. Accomodation was of excellent standard and very clean on arrival. Off street parking with undercover protection for your vehicle was most welcome.
