Hotel Raffaello - Self Check-in Free

Duplicate charges! Check in was a nightmare - nobody there to receive us. Instead, we had to key in all our information outside the hotel which was not user friendly. We had to reenter information several times before we could get it to work properly, and also scan our passports etc. I called the number but did not reach anyone to answer our questions about how to solve the glitchy keypad entry issues. We were lucky that someone who works there happened to come by and helped us retrieve our key from a locked box that was different than all the other key boxes and she didn't know how to open it. She called someone and someone answered, and she got help. The room was fine, had a nice view, so were satisfied with our stay once we finally were able to check in. HOWEVER, now upon reviewing my credit card statement, I was charged TWICE for the stay! Please arrange a refund, and perhaps you should even consider refunding part of the cost of staying there due to this and the other problems I outlined!

Nice location in the historical center. Following their instructions you can park 10 minutes away. Hated the electronic check-in and the lack of someone at the reception desk. Rooms are old, small and super cheap. Also for the modest price is not worth

Simply Terrible The Raffaello is well located in the center of Urbino. It is a serious climb to reach it, but that is true of everything in Urbino. Our reception was rushed and callous. Keys were given, things mumbled, and we were sent our way. The lobby area was unkept, with pictures leaning against the wall and boxes stacked. The rooms were simple and clean but not in good repair. My air/heat system was without a remote and therefore could not be used. When I went to report this, there was no one at the front desk. In fact there was seldom anyone at the front desk. I found a phone number and called it. A man came and gave me an electric heater in case it got cold. It did. My bathroom sink had a slow leak which resulted in a wet floor. During the night a loud sound, like a fire alarm, would sound every few hours. No one at the front desk. No sleep. The most serious problem with the Raffaello was that no one cared. No one cared about the place or about us. After one night we were finished. I found a man at the front desk and said we were leaving. I asked to be refunded for the two nights we did not stay. He said, "No refunds! Have a good life!" Part of my life is to write this review. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Don’t go there for the breakfast! Very well placed hotel in the old town. No parking except up the hill. Clean warm room. Reception lacking in charm. Very poor breakfast!
