Fab stay in Van Der Valk Hotel, Winthonlaan in Utrecht. Stayed 3 nights-delighted with everything. The pool, steam room & sauna on 20th flr was a treat, as was the huge breakfast on offer. Smoking area should be on left hand side of entrance, but everything else was top class. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Definitely a hotel worth considering if staying in Utrecht. It's a short (7 minute) tram / bus journey outside the city but facilities are really great.

We stayed for three nights and could not fault the hotel. Room on the 9th floor was spacious and clean Bed was large and comfortable. Large bathroom with jacuzzi style tub and large walk in shower was modern and clean. The pool and sauna on the 20th floor were a great way to relax after exploring the town. Breakfast choice was varied, superbly displayed and of excellent quality. My only gripe was that guests were smoking and throwing their butts on the floor at the hotel revolving door entrance. being a non smoker it was not a pleasant experience and doesn’t look good for the hotel appearance or reputation. A separate designated area would be beneficial so guests do not have to walk through plumes of harmful smoke,when gaining access to the hotel.
