It’s is good for families with there own transport !

Great service from absolutely friendly and lovely staff. The location is far from downtown but if you rent a car you’ll have no problem. All in all we were happy for staying in this hotel

The service attitude is great. Every employee is very nice. This shows the high level of management of this Hilton, including helping me to surf the Internet Wi-Fi. The breakfast area is also perfect. The room is clean and comfortable. The only downside of the hotel is that it is far from the lake. The 6-lane highway speeds past at speed. It would be perfect if the hotel has a safe passage that can easily reach the lake.

A clean facility, the staff is attentive and friendly. The food is delicious.

On the day of check-in, it was just in time for the wedding banquet, and the service was warm. It seems that it is a better hotel in the local area, right by the lake.

***We really liked the food of the hotel, which is stylish and the rooms are clean. Even though our room overlooking the lake had winter conditions, it was fun. I think our holiday in the summer will be much more satisfying and fun. We thank the hotel staff and Trip family.

SPA SERVICES WERE GREAT

Very good

Absolutely the top class hotel in the area. Went for a 2 night stay. Opted for the lake view room. Arrived and realized there’s a major road between the hotel and the lake. Downgraded to no lake view and room was pin drop quiet. Everything in tip top condition - bed, bathroom, super shower. Towels were meh, but it’s a Doubletree that’s better than any of them in the US. Breakfast buffet was unreal - very fresh fruits and veggies, giant selection of cheeses, cereals, etc. Also ate dinner in the room and lunch in the restaurant - all excellent. Staff works very hard and it shows. Van is a very “Central Asian” sort of place - deserty, romantic, wild - but after a hot, sweaty excursion to a castle or ruins, the Van Hilton is what you want to come home to. Wowza!

Hi there, all services are good in this Hilton. Staff are friendly and super responsive. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is fine. One of the things that did not work for me is the equipment in GYM were very old and difficult to use. They are outdated. All needs to be replaced. I usually go to Hilton in Moda/Istanbul for GYM and the equipment(Life fitness brand) there such as treadmill, elliptical and etc are excellent. Irem hanim please change them

My husband and I have travelled to Turkey a half dozen times and usually stay in local hotels, and they have all been uniformly well run, with friendly staff and great food. When a dear friend invited us to his wedding in Van and suggested the Doubletree, we agreed since we are Hilton Honors members. Big mistake! It’s a large hotel with two small elevators. One has been broken for our 11 day stay, plus they have it worked on every day, very loud, very stinky. They initially put us in a room adjacent to the broken elevator, we had to move. The rooms smell strongly of cigarette smoke, no rooms have dressers. Our new room didn’t even have towels. No terry robes either. Worst designed shower ever - there is no way to stop water from flooding bathroom floor. Though the staff are attentive, and a few spoke a handful of English phrases, the food was ‘Meh’ at best. A chicken wrap was filled with the most intense hot pepper and after one small bite I choked for 15 minutes. The pepper disrupted my digestion for 24 hours. Breakfast is included, but you have pay extra for coffee! Maid service was spotty, though we got fresh water bottles everyday, they left the bed unmade, trash unemptied, and dirty, wet towels on the floor several days. Front desk promised to send up clean towels but never did. Note: the hotel has a convention center/ballroom. Engagement parties are often hosted on Friday nights, weddings on Saturday. Huge crowds, lines for elevator. They ran out of ice at the Saturday night party so no ice was available in the hotel for 24 hours. If you are sensitive to scented products, don’t use their soap, shampoo, etc. we usually care unscented products but didn’t this trip figuring Hilton provides good quality, unscented items. Wrong! What a disappointing hotel stay. The hotel does not come close to living up to the Doubletree Hilton reputation, yet they charge double what local hotels charge.

It really doesn't deserve the name of Hilton. The cleaning of the room did not change the towels. The shower was defective from the first day and was not repaired until the last day. The automatic coffee machine in the lobby was never complete. During our stay, the hair conditioner is empty and was not charged.
