i stayed in this place every time ( 4 times) i visited Vang Vieng last few years , myself or with friends but i will not stay here again.. this small guest house run by Alex and his family, good location with nice view, friendly and helpful ,cheap rent. When we arrived Vientiane after Vang Vieng, my friend found out the cash which was kept in his backpack disappeared. He kept the cash there while we stayed in Camellia hotel. No doubt it was part of his own fault and paid a price for this.. However, this incident also made me think Camellia is not as safe as i thought previously.

Had a great stay for 3 nights. The staff is lovely and helped with any guestion I had. They serve a small breakfast to start your day. You can book different tours, motorbikes, the trains etc at the front desk. The hotel is centrally located with many restaurants and bars in walking distance. Would stay again if I ever return to Vang Vieng 😊

Great location in town, very helpful staff will help you with anything from motorbike rentals to hot air ballooning. Beds are a bit on the firm side.

I really enjoyed my stay in this lovely hotel. The owners were very kind and helpful. They helped me with my transportation going back to Vientiane, do my laundry, and make my VangVieng experience memorable! The room was super nice! The AC was cold, everything was clean, I loved it! Will definitely book this hotel again when I visit VangVieng for the second time in the future.

I recommend this hotel, very well located, very clean. The rooms are great, and above all, you can do all the activities from the hotel: hot air balloon, scooter, Blue Lagoon, etc. The staff takes great care.

Two problems occurred when using this hotel (for 3 nights). The first was that when I checked in, I was assigned to a hotel next door (Nice View Guesthouse) that was run by the same company for no reason. The room was on the 1st floor, so there were no problems with the facilities or the size, but there was no soundproofing at all, and I could hear birds, dogs and cats, and people's voices from early in the morning, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Also, although there was a window, it was on the reception side, and if you didn't close the curtains, other people could see inside, so you couldn't open the curtains, and even if you did open them, you couldn't see outside, making the room feel closed in. . The next day, I filed a complaint and was exchanged for a room on the second floor of the original hotel. When I checked in on the first day, a white couple also checked in, but they were not assigned to the hotel next door, so I don't think the hotel was fully booked. It seems that they are discriminating against single customers, Asians (Japanese people who do not complain), or customers with low rates. If you absolutely must be assigned to a different hotel, it is normal to upgrade. The second thing is to arrange a bus to Vientiane on the final day. In the morning of the previous day, I asked the person at the reception to reserve the bus for this time since I would pay later, and in the evening I paid the fare, although it was a different person. However, the bus was not reserved on that day. In the end, I was put on the next bus and was delayed for more than two hours. Luckily, it wasn't a flight connection, so it wasn't a fatal problem, but even if someone says sorry with a smile, I can't help but smile. In Laos, reservations, arrangements, and promises for cheap accommodation are quite unreliable, so be sure to check with multiple people multiple times. If these two problems had not happened, it would have been a comfortable stay.
