Hotels near RaniSa Tara Palace, Venice

Everything was great. We took a water taxi from the airport to the hotel, the dock was right in front of the hotel which was very nice since we arrived late at night. The only thing can get improved was wifi, sometimes it was hard to get the signal in the room.

The location is super conveninet as it is just near to the main train station. You dont have to drag your luggage or use the water taxi to check in your hotel. Downside is the 1st room was assigned to us is so smelly untill we couldnt take it and call to change another room instead. Luckily the customer officer on duty, he came to our room and take a look and agreed to change us to another room which was actually at the other building. We really appreciate that and he did apologized for what we encounter and give us a complimentary 2 glasses of wine. yet, so much time wasted on check in and check out process, and the hotel has got so much stair, even it bring you to the exact floor but there is still up and down stairs which you have to suffer to carry your heavy luggage in order to check in to your room. I guess thats how most of the European hotel being structured and designed but its so much hassle if u have a heavy luggage to travel around Europe. The 2nd room is bigger yet hot water dint work properly for the 1st night, i was shower in shirvering, and thats probably how i catch my flu! The kettle in the room after we boiled the water, there is a layer of Wax appear on the water surface, which I dont know why and it looks dirty to me.. hence I have asked to change the kettle too, and luckily they bring us a new one which fix the issue. Overall, if you are only loooking for the convenient and doesnt mind so much on the size of the room and comfortability, you can still go ahead with this hotel.

We were quoted by the hostel website a €66 per night stay excluding the city tax but the final price was just worked out to favour the hotel. We had payed a €15 deposit prior to the stay and after checking reviews upon arrival we decided it was best to get a firm idea of the price right away. At this time I was quoted a price of €141 for 2 nights including the city tax (€4) and I decided to double check that this was taking into account the deposit. The manager (I think) got very short and explained he had already said this but I was just unable to decipher his grumbles and had asked for clarification. So I accepted that after adding the deposit it was going to be €76 euro instead of €66 but for 2 nights I was just going to accept this as we didn’t have much other choice and just wanted to enjoy Venice and if we decided to we [could discuss the bill at the end of the stay. Skip to check out time and we were told the the price was €141 and that he had to now add on the city tax of €4 (different to what he had said before of 141 including the tax) another small increase but we had a bus to catch so didn’t have much choice but to pay. So ending up paying €78 per night ex. tax which is okay if the hotel is of good quality, it was not. The manager was smoking at the reception desk but not a huge deal as we were staying across the street. Got into our building and it had a very unusual not that pleasant smell but we got used to it. Went to use our shared toilet (booked a shared toilet) and stepped on the open drain which was covered by a bath mat. The shower has really great pressure though so that’s a plus. The room had no air con as expected but somehow was hotter than outside. If you book a 1 star hotel you get a 1 star room and we weren’t surprised in that respect but we were supplied with an anti mosquito plug-in with enough tablets to last our stay. A very out dated room but again a 1 star hotel so we weren’t surprised. Not made to feel welcome by the man behind the desk (maybe manager) but he was in a very good mood when receiving payment. The experience start to finish made us feel that the hotel was run without a care for the quality and just a transaction (maybe a bit of a con with the price bumps).

Consigliato vivamente, Abbiamo soggiornato in questo albergo e siamo stati benissimo, a due passi dal canal grande a 20 minuti a piedi da piazza san marco . Vicinissima alla stazione e dal punto di di partenza degli autobus per l'aeroporto, le stanze molto pulite il personale attento e gentile e premuroso, la colazione abbondante e variegata.

The hotel is dated, tiny rooms, paper thin walls, unfriendly staff and just ok breakfast with the same fare every day. The good part was the location close to the train station. We stayed during spring break and the hotel was overrun with young people having a good time. Unfortunately we were placed on the same floor as several rooms of them and they stayed up all night, running up and down the hallways, jumping on beds, banging on walls, even tried to get into our room in the night. We got no sleep the first night so I spoke to the young ladies at the front desk and asked to be moved but was told there were no other rooms but that the kids would be leaving that day. They were not sympathetic whatsoever. That evening a young man was at the desk and we got chatting with him and told him what happened and he was very caring and said that if it happened again to call #9 and they would deal with them. Well the new neighbours were also young people who carried on well into the wee hours of the mornings. We called #9 and a different fellow answered and seemed annoyed at the complaint but the noise did settle down shortly after. Only to start up around 5 am again. The walls are very thin but the unruly guests really were upsetting. The hotel should not have placed a bunch of them around other guests, and should have monitored the noise. We would not recommend this hotel due to the lack of caring of the staff.

Hotels situated close to large railway stations don't generally enjoy the greatest of reputations but this hotel certainly breaks the mould. Starting at the front desk (where else?), the professionalism with which this operation is run can be seen immediately. A warm welcome and despite arrival before midday, a room in readiness for us to drop off our luggage. Not a huge room but spotless - and I mean spotless enough to get approval from a senior officer of the grime police. No canal view but it's just outside the front door, if you come to Venice for that kind of thing. You cannot beat the convenience of the proximity to bus station (our arrival from the airport), vaporetto stop and the train station (our onward trip to Bologna). For what you pay for your stay here, you get value for money - not always something you associate with La Serenissima.

Convenient location, opposite the train station. The room had air conditioning. Purely. For Venice, an inexpensive price for a room. Cons: Beds are a bit flimsy. The faucet in the sink also wobbled. Sewer smell in bathroom/toilet. Wifi didn't work well in the room.

We stay in the junior suite for 2 nights. The room was spacious and well appointed with all essential amenities. The downsides were not having good view (facing the other building’s rooftop) and water pressure was weak and not hot enough. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Appreciated the covid preventative measures that the foods were served in the individual containers.

I would definitely recommend this ho(s)tel to young people. All the team was kind and helpful, although a very few of them spoke italian. The location is amazing, San Marco and its beautiful surroundings easy to reach by vaporetto number 2 - by the way.. if you are planning to spend at least 2-3 days it‘s worth buying a Venice card. Our bedroom was absolutely clean and the mattress comfortable. Still I would have appreciated one more towel pro person… by the high rate we paid.

Stayed here just for 1 Night but we can gladly say that it’s worth the price! 📍Location: Perfect, right in front of the train & bust station 10’ away from Venice with the bus (ticket 3€ back/forth) 🛎️ Staff: Everyone from the reception up to the maid were all very friendly.. EXTRA+: We felt more than welcomed from the reception as they were all very professional, polite and knowledgeable, excellent communication skills.. even told us places to visit in Venice.. 🦠 Everything was clean & well prepared 🔑 Electronic key card 💼 Allowed me to store my luggage after checkout which I appreciate. 🔇 Quiet ✈️ Called us a transfer for the airport 🏢 Very descent common areas and fast elevators (6th floror) 💸 Worth it
