Verona Hotels with Airport pickup service

This should have been a better review. Asked to call a taxi…told sorry not our company policy. Then as if by magic their own driver appears. No meter and two euros plus usual charge per journey. Ate her once spaghetti undercooked and still hard. Menu same all week. The worst was the reception team. I don’t think I have ever been spoken to like that. I was not only upset but hurt. It was not pleasant. Perhaps it may do the staff well to realise tourism keeps them in a job and enables an income. Back to basics here learn to smile and if you’re not happy in your job find another away from hospitality.

We would highly recommend Hotel Relais Empire to anyone wishing to visit Verona. The hotel is situated a 15 min walk from the railway station which is linked to airport by the 199 bus. And its about 6mins from the Arena for the Opera. On our arrival we received a warm Italian welcome , given a map of Verona and cushions to borrow to take to the Opera. Our gorgeous room was exceptionally clean with a large shower . Perfect cool white cotton sheets , large soft towels and beautiful smelling toiletries.A/C, Wifi, kettle with tea & coffee too. What really impressed us was the ' plant a tree' sign to hang on our door- to use if you requested the hotel not to refresh your room each day - then they would plant a tree instead. What a wonderful idea . Breakfast was surpurb a mix of hot and cold buffet items , plus any type coffee ,/ drink was made to order. The choice of healthy cereals was amazing.Lots of fresh fruit too. The only thing I missed was not having a mirror in the bedroom though there was one in the bathroom .Its 5 stars from us Thank you Relais Empire for a delightful stay - hope to see you again soon

Surprising well appointed and clean, with two outdoor private patios on floor 1 ( 2nd floor). Bathroom european standard with bidet and both rainhead and hand showers. Hot water arrived quickly. Receptionist Felice was super helpful, and suggested we add on the 8 euros breakfast buffet which was a great spread and super value. Parking is a bit of effort, but stop in reception to deposit 50 euros for a parking pass on streets and parking lot within hotel vicinity. Money is refunded when you return the pass. Gelateria Mendociotto across the street is also very good.

Excellent hotel - parking , helpfull and profesional reception staff , spacious comfortable and clean room ,free shuttle bus to old center of Verona , very good breakfast . Everything is perfect without any remark. I eill certainly choose zhis hotel again if I come back to Verona

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed at. Horrible staff, dirty apartment, terrible service, didn’t have most of the things that they said they did on the website. Pictures on the site are one big lie. We are here for 10 days due to a summer school in Verona, our showers did not have any warm water and was freezing cold. We went down every day to ask for it to be fixed. They would fix it after some very unfriendly looks but it would be broken again within 5 minutes. We had to go down every day to ask for stuff to be fixed, on day 5 they said a technician would come but it did not work or did not come (for we were out so never saw anyone). We asked them multiple times to change our apartments but they lied to us that there were no other rooms free. While on the site you could still book multiple rooms for those days. On day 6 they finally just gave us another apartment (smaler than the one we paid for) but still we had to go down every day now to get stuff fixed. Our balcony door got stuck we called them to come fix it for we had stuff on the balcony. The man came in did not apologized for anything (during our entire stay did not hear one sorry) asked us in the rudest way “what do you need” and then climbed through our window to grab our stuff of the balcony. Not gonna lie that was very funny but the door is still not fixed. So no more balcony. My friends are also writing reviews they have more on the apartment so read those Before you want to book here. I wouldn’t. The place is way to expensive for what state that it’s in. I know i want my money back for we did not get what we paid for at all. Quick little summary: moldy bathrooms, a lot limescale in the shower head, dirty floors, broken doors, broken hob, microwave broke down then the fridge, terrible staff, place stinks, no hot water, do not have any customer service skills, things barely work, didn’t provide with stuff listed on the website. Pls do not stay here.

The hotel is located 16 minutes walk from the train station and 3 minutes walk from the ancient city. Clean, tidy, comfortable, quiet, good service, good breakfast. You can rest assured to choose to stay here.

We had the absolute best time away in Hotel Bologna. The terrace suite 624 is worth the extra money if you want - taste of luxury. The hot tub on a cold winters day was just lush, the views amazing. Rooms very clean and daily turnovers excellent. Staff on reception, in particular Allesandro and Rosa were super helpful and friendly. The breakfast team know how to put on a wonderful spread and know how to make a decent cappuccino! The location is so central and convenient. We parked at Cittadella car park and it’s a 5 min walk to the hotel (as no parking at the hotel) it cost €20 per day which for city centre is standard. Verona is beautiful and when your base camp is Hotel Bologna it take the whole experience to another level.

We stayed over in Verona for one night on last leg of out Italy trip, booked room # 4 at Pepita Lodge. Check in with the host Roberto was first class, he gave us advice on best places to visit in our short stay and recommended the best establishments to sample local cuisine. The apartment was spotless, had coffee/tea available, nice shower and bathroom. The large king size bed was very comfortable and the room had nice air conditioning. Its central location is perfect for exploring the city, minutes from railway station and centre of city! Breakfast provided at great wee cafe across from premises! Superb coffee! Thank you Roberto! This far exceeded our expectations even though had been highly recommended by a friend. The setting is idyllic, a peaceful antidote to a busy city break visiting Verona. We spent 5 nights here and didn't want to leave. Some reviewers have criticised the remoteness of the location, but we specifically wanted the quiet. You either need to hire a car; you've then got the hassle of parking or spend a similar amount on taxis, as we did. I rarely sleep well on holiday due to the beds; I've never slept so well - adjustable beds and stay cool memory matresses. Last but not least, you will not come across more hospitable hosts in Ghandi and Paola, nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed in this hotel because we attended Nick Cave's concert at the Arena of Verona and so we found him comfortable for the location, which is one of his few positive aspects. I start by saying that when we arrived and played the clock, the owner came very dry from our presence. We saw the room, quite comfortable, but the bath was a disaster: the water was sometimes making strange noises, the shower door was broken, and the wall seemed made of carton. Finally, we were waiting for breakfast (including in the booking) in the morning but we found that it would never arrive. I have to say that for 50 euros per head it is better. I don't recommend.
