to begin with I have to admit I liked the 501 against my better judgement at times but the location and views allows a lot to be forgiven.
I can imagine the 501 in its glory days would have been spectacular. the architecture is still on place and quality never goes out of style.
however the old girl does look a little tired and could benefit from a little renovation in places.
the staff, mainly Italian or course and many locals, can be a little abrupt or disinterested when they are busy with other things or distracted. But... this is Italy. they don't mean anything by it but they need to know it's not what some travellers expect.

Peccato per la gestione del check-in, la prossima volta sarebbe meglio prima dire che manca l'acqua e poi dare il check-in. Albergo vecchio stile, anche la colazione rimanda agli anni 80, ascensori d'epoca, insomma un 4 stelle che non si è rimodernato. Poi la mancanza d'acqua dalle 16.30 alle 20.30, una assurda situazione. Mi sono fatto la doccia con l'acqua fredda alle 21.00, visto che l'acqua calda era marrone.

Struttura fatiscente, molto sporca fuori, non curata. Stanze sporche, letto fatto male, carta igienica usata. Cibo buono. Barista inesperta. Camerieri molto gentili e professionali. Alcune receptionist poco professionali, poco discrete.

Ottimo hotel vacanza di una settimana prolungamento di 2 giorni in più perché si stava davvero bene accoglienti disponibili,accettano cani,al ristorante si mangia bene la colazione ottima. Che dire la piscina anche alle 11 di sera puoi fare il bagno molto pulito con personale disponibile vista mare favolosa. Da ritornare complimenti davvero voto 9

Ci siamo fermati in questo hotel per 5 notti: visuale pazzesca sul mare, la mattina era un piacere svegliarsi e la sera era difficile staccarsi dal tramonto. La nostra stanza era abbastanza grande, pulita e silenziosa, buona la colazione. Mi sembra giusto spendere una parola sul personale gentile e molto organizzato. Ok!

Le parti comuni - hall e ristorante - sono ristrutturate e molto gradevoli, il ristorante affaccia sulla piscina dell'hotel e un pò distante si vede il mare. Le camere però sono rimaste come arredi agli anni settanta, nonostante la domotica per luci e tapparelle. Se almeno togliessero la moquette e mettessero un phon decente in bagno allora ci sarebbe un bel salto qualitativo. Cena e servizio non ci hanno entusiasmato, diciamo accettabili

Andata per lavoro ho trovato Alla reception personale gentile.. Parcheggio e posizione ..aria condizionata...queste le uniche cose che ho trovato positive STOP Camera dimensione giusta...cuscini duri scomodi sul letto sacco con piumone ..coperti era caldo scoperto freddo..al bar personale che ti squadra e chiacchiera ...non proprio professionale come atteggiamento.
