Best Places to Stay Near Bar D＇artagnan Quarteira in Vilamoura

We spent 2 weeks at this hotel after a 3 year wait to get there! The hotel is in a fantastic position on the seafront. The hotel is clean, friendly and a really lovely place to stay The breakfasts were really nice, the evening meals ok but unfortunately every vegetable was done in garlic which was a shame as it would have been nice to have had a choice of veg without garlic. The choice of puddings was good and always plenty of salad choices with cold meat. The hotel had entertainment twice a week which was very good. There is an outside terrace outside the bar and it was great to sit out in the evenings. The staff were very helpful and friendly and especially Geovanni and Iago in the bar. (aplolgies if names spelt incorrectly) The rooms are quite small but adequate with a kettle provided. The first tea and coffee is free but they are not topped up after that. There is a fridge and a safe ad plenty of room for clothes in the wardrobe and drawers. We went with friends and had requested 2 rooms next door to each other preferably on a high floor. We got the two rooms together but on the first floor which was a bit of a disappointment but we could still see some of the promenade, the sea and beach so it was ok. The beds were very comfortable. There is mini golf on the roof on the 4th floor which was good fun. The resort itself is very nice. Plenty of bars/restaurants etc. There is a bus station up the road. Overall we had a great time and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

The staff at Dom Pedro, Vilamoura are truly amazing people who take great pride in making your experience enjoyable. The location of the hotel is perfect. Near the beach but not on top of it, a short stroll to the marina with its many restaurants and bars, and just across the road from a Spar supermarket. The rooms are spacious, the beds soooooo comfortable and the bathrooms include shampoo and a few toiletries. The pool area is well protected from the sea breeze by a hedge and the massive lawns and gardens are well kept. There is an abundance of sun beds which can be used around the pool or moved into shaded areas if preferred. At breakfast there is something for everyone and individual needs such as non-dairy milk are catered for on request, nothing is too much trouble. Well done Dom Pedro you are a great example to the hospitality industry.

For a 3 star hotel this is excellent. We had to check out of our villa at 10am - but with a late evening flight home we needed somewhere to dump our cases and enjoy a pool somewhere for the day. We booked this (had to phone due to strange check in/out that we needed) we booked the room from 10am-7pm , obviously we had to be charged for the full day (80 euros) what a bargain! We weren't expecting much but we are pleasantly surprised (writing this sat by the peaceful pool ). Room is large and very clean - can't vouch for.comfort of bed as we won't be sleeping in them). This would make a great, value for money, base and you wouldn't be disappointed with pool and bar - we were feeling a bit deflated coming from a beautiful villa with private pool to a small hotel - but we love it! Staff are very helpful and friendly. If your looking for a good value hotel - this is it!

The resort is beautiful, so many pools, the gardens have a variety of plants and the staff takes very good care in maintaining it in top shape. The reception staff is fairly friendly and some speak very good English but the dining room is different. The food at The Palm is good, the breakfast buffet is worth the 12euros. There is a steep hill to get to the main road so wear appropriate walking shoes. All in all I would recommend this Resort especially if its to use the pool and the activity. February/March is pre season so can't comment more.

Suitable for golfing, just 200 meters next to the QDL, the sunset suite is directly facing the golf course, and the view is good, you need a room on the second floor. The service staff are very enthusiastic and meet various needs from car rental, club rental, fixed course, restaurant and so on. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the beach, and the hotel also has bicycles. Breakfast was good. The only thing is that it is relatively close to the airway, and opening the window during the day will be noisy

The service was correct, the bathroom quite acceptable, good. Comfortable beds and everything spacious. Being on the fourth floor, there was no noise from the street. The only downside is that you could hear noises like pipes, which was a bit annoying, you could hear that weird noise (we think) when others were taking showers or using the WC. We didnt have breakfast. In general, the experience was good and the staff was attentive.

This place has polarizing reviews.. After going there, I understand why. The facilities and services are good. You can use the swimming pool, washer and dryer (performance is poor), sauna and spa for free, and although the building structure is unique (1st and 8th floor reception, 2 elevator transfers, etc.), it's okay if you get used to it. We couldn't find the way by taxi, so we climbed the hill with our suitcases, but the reception on the first floor is near the spar mart. They were friendly, but the air conditioner was broken so I called twice and they didn't come so I just gave up. This place is in the middle of the old town, so I actually made a reservation based on the location, but it's literally in the middle of the club street, so even if you're inside the accommodation, you'll be staying at the concert hall all night long. There's no soundproofing, so you have to enjoy it together until 5 a.m. The noise is another level, as foreign reviews say. I’m traveling around the world, but this place is really ambiguous haha. The breakfast isn’t bad, but it’s just ambiguous… . Personally, I think it would be less noisy and better if it wasn't just in this alley because it's Albupay!!

There are relatively few buses in the Albufeira area, so it is still suitable for self-driving. The hotel has free parking, and the receptionist at the front desk is very enthusiastic and meticulous, introducing the surrounding attractions in detail. The size of the room is suitable, but the ventilation system is not very good and the room feels damp. The breakfast is very good, including fruit cake, smooth eggs, yogurt, etc., very rich.

Super holiday! We have just spent 10days on half board here at the Porto bay Falesia. We had a fantastic time. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, bending over backwards to make the experience all the more pleasurable. We stayed in a sea view room on the 3rd floor and it was amazing! Great size room with lovely bathroom and rituals products. Cleaning staff were so lovely and kept our room spruced up throughout our stay. The food was really good. The selection was so good, always something for everyone, I prefer fish and my husband prefers meat and neither were disappointed. We also had a meal at il basilica which was great. We spent most of the week relaxing by the pool or on the beach and walking. The pool area is perfect for reading a book, plenty of loungers. The beach is accessed by around 120 steps which we loved but I can see they may be an issue if not so mobile or able. The beach is incredible! We walked to vila moura which took around 2 hours, had lunch and walked back. There was also a lovely walk along the cliff top in the other direction going via the town of olhos de agua. This walk was spectacular! It takes you all the way to Maria Luisa beach via a restaurant on the beach called passaro azul ( definitely worth a visit). We spent a morning at the indoor pool, sauna and steam room which was nice as it was raining outside. My husband also used the gym which was adequate. The town is sweet with a selection of restaurants and shops plus a small supermarket for supplies! All in all we had a fantastic 10days and will definitely be back.
