Pinhal da Marina

I just want to say we had the best time . Thank you to all the staff ,from the cleaners to the reception staff . Big shout out to Dora on reception she put up with all my questions before and after I arrived. Lovely quiet location, 15 mins walk to the marina . My 5th time visiting and will be booking for next year . Thank you all so much ❤️

7 night self catering. Wouldn’t say it was cheap but wasn’t too overpriced for what it was. Price may have been slightly higher as we went borderline school holidays. Quiet location, Clean apartment, slept well. Clean pool, enough beds around pools. Food we had in restaurant nice. Staff friendly, rooms cleaned daily. Apartment had everything needed for self catering. Walk back from Marina okay if you are fully mobile as is slightly uphill but takes only 15 minutes.

Very pleasant stay ….. we had no problems getting sunbeds at the start of our holiday but then started to get busier so people put towels on beds in the morning which wasn’t really necessary for the limited time they wanted to use them ….. we stayed in a studio which was the best equipped room we have stayed in recently….. bathroom clean with no black mould!!! But yes could do with a more powerful shower …. Cleaners were good but personally would have preferred my room to have been cleaned before 4pm in the afternoon but understand that they can’t clean every room in the morning….. ate and drank at the pool bar which was good but service a little slow at times during the day…… the walk to the marina and Spar not to far….. we agree with other people a good halfway house for a drink is Link and Drink on your way back after dinner ready for a steady walk back up the hill…… overall very good accommodation for the price ……

Had a 10 night stay here with family in two pool view studio. Rooms were a really good size and facilities were really good. Not far from the restaurant near spa and to walk to the marina. This was our third visit here we will definitely be coming back again.

Quiet, well maintained property. Dated, needs upgrading.

Recently spent 9 days here. Our first visit to the area. Check in was prompt - the reception block is separate to the accommodation blocks. My first impression was it was quite dated. We paid upfront & got our key card & local map. We were in Block 23. Upon entering the apartment, we were met with a very unpleasant musty smell. The apartment was spacious, the bedroom dark, a spacious kitchen & living area with patio doors leading to the garden patio area which had a table & chairs along with 2 sun loungers. The kitchen was well equipped with a good sized fridge/freezer. Hairdryer, iron, ironing board, clothes horse all supplied. Immediately opened the doors to let some fresh air into the apartment. We unpacked our luggage. There was ample storage with sliderobe & hangers, shelves & drawers. The apartments are made of concrete & sound echoes so noise from upstairs neighbors was quite loud, moving furniture & tv sound. There are no black out blinds/curtains but there are sliding, metal doors on patio( we didn’t realise these moved until we heard the neighbors pull theirs on the second day(we thought just the design, might be worth mentioning to people on check in) Free WiFi in the apartment was reasonably good. The pool was approx 3 min walk from our apt through the gardens. We didn’t have any issue getting sun beds or brollys for the duration of our stay but as usual those going to breakfast, put out towels & didn’t use them for hours. There was no life guard on duty which we thought unusual considering the depths of the pool. The pool area was kept clean with regular cleaning/sweeping but the pool itself wasn’t throughly cleaned. There was a pool table(paid) & table tennis table(free- paddles kept at bar) this is the extent of entertainment by the pool! No music, no pool games, nothing. It’s very quiet! There is also a small football/basketball court to the front of complex at reception for kids to play. The pool bar/restaurant is nice. Latte €3, Beer €6. Expensive for pool bar. (We didn’t eat here) We stayed at main pool for the duration of our time as our son like to play table tennis/pool & he made friends there too. The accommodation is set in a residential area so the nearest shop (Spar) is 8 mins walk away in quite a run down square, there is a fresh bakery section at the back & a good selection of fruit/meat etc.. There is a local bar in that area too (Amsterdam Bar, which have a small menu, handy for lunch) there is also a Thai restaurant & Dominos pizza. The Marina is 25 mins walk away (& may feel longer in hot temperatures) the nearest beach is also 25 mins away which for us was too far! We ate in Rosa’s Cantina (Mexican) which is approx 15 mins away & had a drink with Antonio & Maria the owners of Link & Drinks Bar, a nice bar where locals go & they showed the football matches too. The area has no entertainment. Live music/ karaoke is available down by the harbour in the larger pubs but wasn’t really to our taste. We

Not our first time in Vilamoura, but our first stay in the Pinhal Da Marina and we can not fault the place at all. We've just come back from a one week stay and there's nothing negative to say about the place. We had a one bedroom ground floor self-catering apartment in block 3 and it had every amenity you could ever need. Our apartment had direct access to the gardens and our own sun loungers. The location is great, a 8-10 minute walk downhill to the nearest Spar and a 15-minute walk to the fabulous marina. The place is spotlessly clean and in a very quiet location, but still close enough to the bars, shops and restaurants. Wi-fi was excellent, the safe is free, air-con was brilliant and there was an iron and ironing board in the apartment. We would definitely recommend the Pinhal Da Marina. Top tip - walk to the Marina but go to the main road (near the Luna Olympus hotel) and order an Uber. Some afternoons the price for a taxi back to the apartment was 2 Euros 80, and the most we paid at night was 4 Euros 50, and we never waited more than 2-3 minutes. Another top tip - an Uber to the airport was 19 Euros (it's 45 Euros in a private taxi).
