Firstly, I had booked this stay primarily due to the overwhelming positive reviews on TripAdvisor. I have to say It did not disappoint and lived up to the excellent reviews, all expectations we had were duly met. We had stayed in apartment 11, which was very near the main pool area , a bonus in itself. It also had some magical views overlooking the nearby golf course. As was mentioned in previous reviews this apartment was by far the biggest apartment I have ever stayed in when on holidays. We are a family of 4 with two teenagers (16 & 14), the apartment massive open plan kitchen/dining/living area , huge balcony , 2 bedrooms, one with 2 single beds which had an adjacent bathroom with shower facilities etc. In addition a main double bedroom (very comfortable bed) with ensuite, very spacious and in immaculate condition. A special mention to the house staff who cleaned the rooms early and with perfection at all times during our stay. The apartment itself - There were 2 fridges , a microwave , dishwasher, cooker, cutlery , glasses, cups etc., I was even looking for a wine opener one night and found it in the drawer, it had everything you could ever imagine and more, like being at home. Also, the washing machine and dryer was an absolute Godsend and came in extremely handy when washing the towels , clothes etc. To our surprise we were expecting foreign channels but low and behold it had RTE1 & 2 (local channels in Ireland) but in addition all the cable channels , SKY Sports , BBC , ITV etc etc. Seems like a small thing but the day we arrived we were able to watch the GAA All Ireland final in the comfort of the apartment while at the same time ordering in some lunch as take away to to dine in and watch the match. The pool area was fantastic, never too crowded and you could always pick up a lounger. Most days we would have breakfast at 9.30 am , come back up to pool area at around 10 am and have our pick of sunbeds, I have been in hotels where you had to be up at sunrise to secure a sunbed so this was a pressure you did not have to worry about, which is huge and nearly unprecedented. There are 3 pools , one at the front near the main outdoor eatery which is in front of the main bar /outdoor dining area , this pool is predominantly for kids, fairly big also where they can have inflatables etc, a small kiddies pool in-between, and then a main pool area which is a very good size. The fact that there is a huge kiddies pool takes the pressure of the main pool and its never really packed. As a family we really enjoyed this pool, good depths and always well cleaned, credit to staff. Food - the food was very good, for breakfast, good selection, all you need really, also the nicest and biggest omelettes I have had when on holydays so again credit to the morning chef's for their consistency during our stay, We stayed half board and had the option to swap lunch for dinner some days which was great as we would head into Vilamoura Marina for dinn
