Firstly, I had booked this stay primarily due to the overwhelming positive reviews on TripAdvisor. I have to say It did not disappoint and lived up to the excellent reviews, all expectations we had were duly met. We had stayed in apartment 11, which was very near the main pool area , a bonus in itself. It also had some magical views overlooking the nearby golf course. As was mentioned in previous reviews this apartment was by far the biggest apartment I have ever stayed in when on holidays. We are a family of 4 with two teenagers (16 & 14), the apartment massive open plan kitchen/dining/living area , huge balcony , 2 bedrooms, one with 2 single beds which had an adjacent bathroom with shower facilities etc. In addition a main double bedroom (very comfortable bed) with ensuite, very spacious and in immaculate condition. A special mention to the house staff who cleaned the rooms early and with perfection at all times during our stay. The apartment itself - There were 2 fridges , a microwave , dishwasher, cooker, cutlery , glasses, cups etc., I was even looking for a wine opener one night and found it in the drawer, it had everything you could ever imagine and more, like being at home. Also, the washing machine and dryer was an absolute Godsend and came in extremely handy when washing the towels , clothes etc. To our surprise we were expecting foreign channels but low and behold it had RTE1 & 2 (local channels in Ireland) but in addition all the cable channels , SKY Sports , BBC , ITV etc etc. Seems like a small thing but the day we arrived we were able to watch the GAA All Ireland final in the comfort of the apartment while at the same time ordering in some lunch as take away to to dine in and watch the match. The pool area was fantastic, never too crowded and you could always pick up a lounger. Most days we would have breakfast at 9.30 am , come back up to pool area at around 10 am and have our pick of sunbeds, I have been in hotels where you had to be up at sunrise to secure a sunbed so this was a pressure you did not have to worry about, which is huge and nearly unprecedented. There are 3 pools , one at the front near the main outdoor eatery which is in front of the main bar /outdoor dining area , this pool is predominantly for kids, fairly big also where they can have inflatables etc, a small kiddies pool in-between, and then a main pool area which is a very good size. The fact that there is a huge kiddies pool takes the pressure of the main pool and its never really packed. As a family we really enjoyed this pool, good depths and always well cleaned, credit to staff. Food - the food was very good, for breakfast, good selection, all you need really, also the nicest and biggest omelettes I have had when on holydays so again credit to the morning chef's for their consistency during our stay, We stayed half board and had the option to swap lunch for dinner some days which was great as we would head into Vilamoura Marina for dinn

Very nice stay. We loved it. Breakfast buffet could be improved, but overall an excellent service… and helpful booking golf! Definitely will go back and stay a longer period next year. Although it is a family with kids…destination, we could have silence and peace in the pool and the apartment. Will try Yoga and Pilates classes in the garden next year.

We have wanted to stay at the Four Seasons Vilamoura for years, we have often viewed walking back from the Old Village and said how lovely it looks from the entrance. We were unable to get into our villa one evening so we chose to stay there for just one night. This was our first experience of Four Seasons and was looking forward to their brand however we were very disappointed! We arrived later than planned unfortunately due to passport control delay, we were told we were too late for food as closed at 10pm, luckily we know the area very well so knew where to get food late in the evening. We asked if the. bar was still open for a nightcap which it was unfortunately nobody in it or any atmosphere. The bar area looks quite depressing with dark furniture. Msot people were still sitting in the restaurant outside and popping into the bar for drinks. Reception were friendly but only said where we needed to have breakfast, not what times they were or wifi etc. We were shown to our room by someone who looked like an odd job man carrying the cases. As we have 2 teenage sons we chose the 2 bedroom penthouse apartment, so was expecting alot, this was quite a trek from the main building. It looked lovely from the website, but once we got inside it was very tired and old fashioned which was disappointing. We couldn't even find the safe until the morning after when we left and bathrooms were very old fashioned with shower curtain. The lounge area looks nice and so do the bedrooms and beds were comfortable, but kitchen looks dated and didn't have much choice of utensils if self catering. The hotel have inside and outside pools and they all look lovely. We checked out the following morning but dropped off our luggage before going to breakfast, we were told they could be left in reception but once we finished breakfast and wanted to leave came back and one of the cases had gone missing. We asked about this and someone had taken it to luggage storage but only the one case and not the other 2! We did panic for a moment, thinking it had been taken. Breakfast buffet was ok but again this too was very disappointing, filter coffee had run out and no one around to change, coffee machine stopped working and finally found someone who had to remove coffee grounds from machine to start again. The choice of breakfast was rather disappointing too and food was not great what we did have. We then went into the old village for a while to get supplies from the supermarket and when we came back all our luggage had disappeared so we asked for this. Not very professional but we waited half an hour and had to chase then to be told they were waiting by the concierge, yet no one had told us this. We may just have been unlucky with this experience, but will not be staying again.

Booked a studio apartment last minute for 3 nights. Smart hotel, good security. Very friendly staff. Lovely pools as well as an indoor pool. Comfortable outdoor area. Spacious well equipped room, we did end up in a disabled room despite full fitness! Did feel if you were disabled there was only a shower over the bath which was quite high to get into, not a problem for us though. Had a nice meal in the lovely restaurant. Good parking.

Upgrade of bedrooms was very pleasing glad to see maintenance fees for owners are being used aesthetically! It’s important that FSV doesn’t forget and appreciate the value or owners returning every year and their contributions (most nights we were the only 4 people having a drink in the bar)!!!! Love FSV and look forward to next years two weeks.

It was our second stay at Four Seasons. We like to travel around to see amazing beaches, so it makes a perfect base for this reason. Vilamoura Marina is within walking distance. The pools areas are well kept and there is plenty of space for everybody. All the staff members deserve to be mentioned for their everyday efforts to make your stay as enjoyable as possible ! The accommodation is very good, plenty of wardrobes for your holiday outfits. Kitchens are well equipped. We can highly recommend Four Seasons for unforgettable holidays!

Two week holiday with my wife and friend. It is a very relaxing resort having 3 outdoor pools and one indoor with plenty of outdoor sunbeds to accommodate all guests. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. The grounds were very well manicured. The staff were always very attentive and very pleasant and helpful at all times. The food was excellent with a themed buffet every evening. Most of the diners were eating in the outdoor dining area which included live easy listening music. Our room was very spacious and clean with a full kitchen and balcony looking over the golf course. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful at all times. Villamoura harbour was within easy walking distance.

We are just back from seven fantastic nights at the Four Seasons. It was one of the best hotels we've stayed in. Our accommodation was superb. So much space, our own washing machine, satellite TV, fantastic views over the resort, a brilliant kitchen and balcony. The food was a particular highlight. It was so nice to be in a hotel which served good food! The pools are brilliant. Our kids had a great time. We always had a sun lounger, there were no issues. The gardens were beautiful and everywhere was so clean. Everything was first class. It was exactly what we wanted. It is a quieter resort that attracts quiet, friendly and respectful visitors. It isn't cheap, but we were keen to stay somewhere more peaceful and a but more up market. The Four Seasons was perfect. The staff are wonderful and we never had a single issue during our stay. Thank you to everyone at the Four Seasons.

I have recently returned from a holiday at the Four Seasons Resort at Vilamoura. The standard was high throughout, the apartments immaculate, spacious and modern. The restaurant was superb, the food and waiter service was exceptional..
