Everything feel cheap in the rooms. Very poor quality of everything with the excuse it is a "farm and quaint" accommodations. Showers drain clogged. Keep an eye on your bill. Owner will charge extras, or people having dinner (even though reservations stated number of pax he will still charge for more. Lots of other options in the area, of better quality,

Brilliant team. Awsome atmosphere. Lapa is stunning with a cute bar very friendly helpful barman. Beautiful views on the River. Well kept gardens and you feel right at home. Road leading to the guest house is a bit bumpy for people in sedans.

Our companies have been visiting Melkboomsdrift Guest Farm for many years. Firstly as JB Train Tours and nowadays as Platteland Tours. We go back yearly during the flower season and we always stay for at least 2 nights with our groups. Most of the times our clientele ask why we can't stay longer. A very nice location for a stay in Lutzville/Vredendal. The staff are very friendly, always cheerful and ready to assist where needed. The Guesthouse is located on an old vineyard and consists of several buildings, providing every guest with their own place to stay. Futhermore, especially the food served is a big plus as all the food is homemade, prepared with great care every night and a focus on local produce. The highlight of the stay was the braai organised by the Johan, as can be seen in the photos!

A very spacious clean room with all the amenities. Very well prepared food. The hosts were always courteous and very helpful. The rooms are very clean and all the advertised amenities are available and work just fine. The vehicles are parked on the premises and therefore safe to wandering hands.

I recently stayed at Melkboomsdrift Guest House and was thoroughly impressed. The service was top-notch, with staff being incredible attentive and friendly, making me feel right at home. The food was the highlight of my stay; the beef brisket was tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the fresh-well-seasoned vegetables. I highly recommend this guesthouse for its exceptional service and delicious meals.
