Top Couple Friendly Hotels in Wakayama

Wonderful location. Very clean. Good service. Friendly and helpful staff. We experienced a mild earthquake in early morning. There was announcement after the alarm to the hotel room after the shake. However, it was only in Japanese. It would be better if the announcement could be in English as well. Anyway, the reception took our call and explained the situation quickly.

The hotel is walking distance to Wakayama castle. The rooms are clean because it’s a renovated hotel this year. The morning breakfast buffet is amazing. A varieties of food are there. And also many kinds of drinks are there.

Very cost-effective hotel. The room is very clean and tidy, and the hotel's service is also very good. If you arrive early, your luggage can be kept for you. The breakfast variety is rich and delicious for the price. It is very convenient to go to the city center with JR. I will stay here again when I go to Tokushima in the future.

The hotel is about 5-6 minutes walk from the JR station. The hotel is not new, but it is clean and tidy. The room is large and can open 2 21-inch suitcases. The bedding is comfortable. Candeo is right on Wakayama-Shi Train station, which makes it incredibly convenient. Sound-proofing ensures perfect sleep and no disturbance from trains or traffic etc. The staff accepted early check-in at 2pm and were incredibly courteous, professional, English-speaking and kind. Really excellent. Some large Japanese hotel chains are not entirely geared to the ”international market” and the attitude to non-Japanese guests can be less than ideal. NOT CANDEO. The staff are comfortable with an international clientele, cheerful and welcoming. How wonderful! The entire hotel is extremely clean and well-run. Everything says ”professional”. The flower arrangements on each floor are REAL. Flowers are extremely expensive in Japan. The view from the reception area (Floor 11) is fantastic. The spa (Floor 12) is open air, with a great view and a magical feel. I enjoyed my stay very much and I hope to return to Candeo soon.

There is still room for improvement in the details. It is very good after renovation. One night and two meals are recommended. The bathroom is not too big. The milk is delicious. It is a quiet fishing village. The girls' bathrobes can be selected in style and size. The window is beautiful in the morning, noon and evening. You can also watch the stars by the sea

The price-performance ratio is very high. It should be the best hotel I have stayed in for no less than 20 times in Japan. It is well-equipped, clean and tidy. The room is large, well-structured, and has good soundproofing. Except for the breakfast and the slightly thinner food variety than some other hotels, it can be said that there are no shortcomings. I can give 90-95 points out of 100 points! I was too tired to take pictures, but I really recommend it!
