I have stayed at this property multiple times since 2019. It is not as nice as the Courtyard across the street but - usually - slightly better value for money. I had a stay of twelve (12) nights this time. On the 11th night, thieves cut the catalytic converter out of my car, which was parked in the lighted hotel parking lot. Upon discovering this had happened, I paid the $550 for an off-market replacement (dealer part was $1500), taking time off work to: (a) discover and figure out the problem and (b) find a place to do the repair. When originally notified, the hotel staff on duty said the hotel is not liable for property damage to cars (per a posted sign on the parking lot). The property also doesn’t have cameras nor a large number of lights so - clearly - this property is not interested in monitoring the lot on behalf of its guests to keep them and their cars safe. As a Bonvoy Ambassador level guest with >170 nights this year alone, I asked the front desk staff to have Jennifer - property manager - contact me to discuss. Jennifer called the following day and said that I would need to file a police report so she could then file an insurance claim etc. on her side. Curiously, she did not seem terribly apologetic that this had occurred. Her emphasis, instead, was that she needed “proof” the incident had occurred and I must file a police report. I explained to her that not only did I have the $550 invoice plus date stamped photos but that - after spending my own time off work to get my car fixed yesterday - I wasn’t going to spend additional personal time filing a police report so she could then spend weeks working on it with their insurer to see if there was some compensation Marriott may offer. I asked for her to simply credit 2 nights off my stay (approximately $220) - less than 50% of the money I paid to repair my car's damage. This request - again - on the back of a twelve (12) night stay that I was just wrapping up seemed fairly reasonable to me and something that Jennifer should have in her approval as Property Manager. Instead, she said she didn’t think that was possible and it would require her to speak to her regional manager. I haven’t heard back which means, I suspect, she will not do anything. So, a few thoughts on this property: I strongly urge you not to stay here if you have any worries about car damage or safety. I don't drive an expensive car (Acura) so it is not like thieves targeted a Mercedes Benz or other high end vehicle. Without cameras or security, your car is not safe as I have discovered. There are some lights in the parking lot but it is relatively dark in many places. The property - when incidents occur - is not interested in solving a situation for a customer (even someone who has stayed for 12 nights in a row and multiple times prior) Jennifer has no interest in actually handling customer issues, even as Manager of the property. Before contacting me about this issue, she hadn’t bothered

We stayed at The Cheshire Welcome Inn while visiting family over July 4th. It is 10 minutes from my son's house and their guest room was filled. This is the old style motel where each room has an outside door. The owner gave me a discounted rate since I booked directly. They let us check in early and the room was a pleasant surprise. It was very clean, recently updated with a large king bed, bedside tables and overhead lighting on both sides of the bed, a desk with a chair, a nice tv and a large fridge with a separate freezer, a microwave and a coffee pot. The flooring was new and attractive, no carpeting. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of room for toiletries and a large shower that even had a retractable clothesline. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and maintained. There was an ice machine, vending machine, and washer and dryer down the hall. I get up early and put a lawn chair outside the door so I can read while my partner sleeps in. When we came back later they had put two plastic chairs out for us to use. The owners were very pleasant and present. Our only complaint was that we are short and all the comfortable bedding made the bed high. Even though it was right on Route 10 the road noise did not bother us. It is convenient to Big Y, Dunkin Donuts, and many other stores. We had a delicious breakfast at Peter's II that was a five minute walk away. We will stay there again when we visit our family.

It’s all relative. If this was an Econolodge charging $79/night this is a three or perhaps even four star rating. The property is fairly clean, the people were nice and competent. There are some nice amenities like an in-house bar and sundries market. The problem is the name outside says Marriott (Courtyard by Marriott, to be more accurate) and by that scale this place is a dump. Speaking of dumps, who thought brown was a good color for the carpet? Maybe because it’s in the bathroom the designer had a subconscious idea to color match. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and there is a desk (I’m using right now). The sofa forced me to drink another beer first so I could connect with my old college days and not worry about anything that lingers in the fabric, also a brownish/rust colored wonder. I tried watching the TV but it appears to be an original flat screen from sometime in the G.W. Bush administration so I couldn’t see anything and reverted to my iPad. Back to the positive, there’s a microwave and a minifridge, though you would need to bring your own water as there’s none provided. WiFi is solid and the blackout curtains blackout the light. Oh, and the people were very polite and competent, a saving grace.

We stayed here while my older son was in Hockey camp. We originally booked a junior king suite. That was great for the three of us. The check in process was seamless. The staff was excellent and friendly. When it came time to pull out the couch to make up the bed, we found disturbing stains on the mattress. I went to the front desk and showed Jessica the pics I took of the stains. She immediately apologized on behalf of the hotel and switched our room. Boy were we upgraded! She put us in a one bedroom suite and it’s amazing. She was so kind and quick to help. We appreciate her so much and our stay has not only become comfortable, but on the luxurious side.
