Tv and bathroom fan didn’t work. Place was under construction, but still a good place to stay.

The experience was great. I stayed a few days for business and ALL the stuff was real friendly. Rooms were spotless and the whole renovation makes you feel like you are in a new hotel. Pool and breakfast were good. Gym was tiny. It well maintained.

Kristen O. Did a great job with our room and super clean. Looks may be deceiving fr the outside of the hotel but rooms also have new renovation and modern updates. We took a family trip for the weekend to visit family and have a small vacation. Excellent service! Plan to come back.

It’s disappointing to write this review about this hotel as I had high hopes given that it’s a Marriott brand and paid $170 for a night. We arrived to the hotel around 7pm. It’s in a great location with nearby restaurants and stores. The lobby was under construction, which I was okay with, and they assigned us to a third floor room. We entered the room and it’s spacious and newly remodeled. From there, things went quickly downhill. I went to use the bathroom and tried to flush the toilet. Mind you, I only peed and used a small amount of toilet paper. The toilet barely flushed. My husband contacted the front desk and was told that this was “normal” as this is a “water saving toilet” and you need to “flush it a few times” to get it to work. It seems like that would be counterproductive to having a “water saving toilet”, but I digress. We then left to go to dinner. We come back to the hotel to go swimming and use the advertised hot tub. Surprise. There’s no hot tub. The front desk informs my spouse that they are trying to remove that info from the website. We go to the indoor pool area which is just off the lobby (the pool is not heated fyi). As we left the pool area and walked out the door into the lobby area, we were greeted by a cloud of what looked to be smoke. It was not smoke, it was the front desk person sweeping up the construction materials (the tile floor was being torn up). There was plumes of dust down the main hall way, including the area where the free breakfast is served. This is obviously concerning because there’s no protection from this dust plume into the food area where people are eating and the food is prepped. Back in the hotel room, there’s a full kitchenette with a full refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave (excellent!). Well, I hope you weren’t planning on sitting at even a small bistro table to eat, because there’s no where to sit and eat a meal in your room. Well there is a desk with one chair if that works for you and your family. This is a large hotel room but poorly designed. Also, if you are looking for a luggage rack to place your luggage, you’re out of luck on that too. I do have to say that the bed was comfortable and the room had black out curtains. I used the workout room and everything is covered in a layer of dust. I did clean off two machines for them. The toilet did plug up in the morning. Couldn’t get ahold of the front desk after multiple attempts. I went to the front desk and was told that maintenance wasn’t there and was provided a plunger. We didn’t eat the free breakfast as I don’t like my food flavored with tile dust. Besides the toilet not working, the small side table was broken upon our arrival along with a non working lamp. I left notes on each of these items for housekeeping and management to address. I’m highly disappointed with our stay here and will never be back. Marriott needs to get their act together. There are better ways to manage a hotel especially when it’s under construction/repair. I

Stayed 2 nights July 12 and 13th. Location is pretty good, a lot of food places nearby. Was quiet too, both outside and inside, and if we had room neighbours we didn't hear them. Room was clean, but not as well appointed as pictures on their site. Very sparse in the room, lack of seating was apparent. Kitchen really needed seating a bistro table or something. Anyway, enough about seating. Staff was friendly with hello's and smiles. And the morning breakfast was adequate nothing stellar but was decent. Overall the stay was okay to average.

Such a nice hotel! Rooms have been renovated and are very nice and clean. The customer service is amazing and everyone was so helpful and nice! Hotel is in a prime location, it is a very good area and there is security on site which makes you feel very safe. The staff does everything to ensure the safety of their guests and the upkeep of their property!

Spotted this choice of hotel for Taylor Swift show in Detroit, june 2023. Didn’t regret my decision at all, it was perfection! Newly built hotel, perfect for the family, near shopping and restaurants.Safe area, free parking, great breakfast included, super comfy beds! AAA++++ all the way!

This hotel is not at the quality level I expected at a Marriot Town Place. I have stayed at several including this one at it’s old location. Marriot took over this property and hasn’t made the necessary improvements. Not only is the property dated it is poorly maintained and cleaned. It is not worth the price as shown in the photos, this should be a $89 a night hotel. Paying a much higher price I would not expect; - Dirty floors as my socks show - Only 2 forks and knifes - Dirty air vent - A cracked lamp shade - Cracks in the walls in the room that could be easily fix in a few minutes by a repairman and some caulk - The door to the bathroom hard to close due to loose rubber on the floor - Part of the siding hang off the side of the building for at least 3 days - The same breakfast of egg muffins and bagels for two days, this not what I expect a “hot” breakfast to consist of. Where is the bacon, sausage and potatoes?? The problems listed indicate management at the hotel has not properly trained the staff to report problems in the rooms. The person cleaning the room has to see the problems but has no incentive to report them to get them fixed. I would seem management doesn’t inspect the rooms. We will not stay at this hotel again.

I highly recommend this TownPlace Suites. The rooms were very comfortable and Mike B. the front desk manager was very welcoming and pleasant to talk with. This is essential for any hotel front desk manager. Townplace Suites is a great hotel for anyone staying in Detroit Warren for pleasure or a business trip.
