Courtyard Washington, DC/U.S. Capitol

NoMa / Sirsum Corda
I traveled to DC with my preteen and teenage sons for a basketball game. The property didn’t receive my reservation (booked through 3rd party) but the front desk staff took the time to make it right and get us set up. They had excellent customer service throughout our stay. This hotel was VERY clean. I was actually surprised because I use to stay here frequently about 10 years ago and expected some things to run down a bit. It turns out that the hotel is very modernized and looks just as good now as it did a decade ago. The location is perfect as it’s right in the middle of the NoMa neighborhood and it is right next to the NoMa/Gaulludet (Red Line) Metro station. There are a few small shops across the street and a 7 Eleven next door if you are looking for a quick bite. The room itself was comfortable. My youngest son and I slept soundly on the queen sized bed and my oldest slept on the couch. He was pretty comfortable without even folding the couch down. Overall, I will definitely book here again as I frequently visit DC. Fo how inexpensive this hotel is, the quality was phenomenal. I can’t wait to go back.

I was recently staying at this property during a AAFP conference in Washington D.C. After a long morning of flights- I arrived at the property to check-in. My boss and I had made reservations several months ago- but unfortunately - my boss was on another flight and did not arrive until late evening. Our reservations did not list me in the room. The hotel manager - Mr. Togi Mahdere- was personal and proactive to assist me in getting my room settled- otherwise- I would have just had to hang out in the lobby waiting for confirmation from the reservation maker. I saw him interacting with another guest - to also help expedite his check-in. His CAN DO attitude was greatly appreciated by a weary traveler... and his attention to his guests exemplified EXCELLENT customer service. Beyond Mr. Mahdere - the staff was extremely helpful- making recommendations for nearby restaurants, helping with our equipment and much more. They were very personable. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a stay in downtown D.C.
Courtyard Washington, DC/Foggy Bottom

Foggy Bottom
If you are in DC to look at colleges or simply to watch the 4th of July fireworks, the location of the Courtyard by Marriott Foggy Bottom is great. It's walking distance to the Lincoln Memorial and to George Washington University. American University and Georgetown are a short Lyft ride away. Bring your walking shoes if you take the Metro from Regan Airport, it's a 15 minute walk from the GWU station. The room is clean and comfortable, what you would expect from Courtyard by Marriott. However, there's no free breakfast like other Courtyards but there is a Starbucks just around the corner so we did that for breakfast every morning. If my child attends GWU, I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
Courtyard Washington Capitol Hill/Navy Yard

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Only stayed one night, there were seven people in one room, but it was really nice because there were two queen beds. Didn't really interact with the hotel staff too mucj, except to check in/out and get extra towels but the little that I did, there friendly and accommodating. There is a parking garage but they do charge you. Thankfully, because we were not staying long, we were able to find a spot on the street that was free. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

My son had an exam in DC and I booked this hotel for him. I was fully transparent that it was for him. On arrival, they would not check him in since he was not 21 yet. They claimed that ”no hotel in the world will check in somebody under 21”. Yeah, right.... The would have let him sleep on a bench and did nothing to help resolve the issue that was their mistake. There is not even a mention on the confirmation about this, it is somewhere in their invisible terms of service. I can only express my deepest contempt for this place and would suggest you stay somewhere else. Luckily Marriott Bonvoy came through and got him a room at the Mayflower next door for the same price. This is a Marriott property too and did not have any such problems but welcomed my son and provided a memorable stay. In the end, people make a difference.
