We arrived to clueless workman asking us which house we have booked. After unlocking the log cabin, he only put the fridge on, went to fetch the microwave, collected some firewood. The microwave still had dirty pap from before. The next morning couldn't make breakfast on the stove due to no gas bottle. No spare bottle so they had go fetch in town. So we had to opt for breakfast in town at stone circle. Lovely little gem. Arriving back to the farm we chose to hike up the mountain. Again worker cannot be found or any Information on where to go etc. I kept on phoning Hein, almost feeling like a pain. Anyway Hein was helpful from Pretoria. But the last straw was when eskom came to switch off the power the next morning due to late payment. No power or hot water that night. Very disappointing. Contacted Hein, but nothing could be done. Family very unhappy about last night stay. No further contact from Hein to find out if everything is ok. Anyway. Plus side. The property is tranquil and hiking up the mountain was lovely. Teaching the kids to fly fish was also fun. We had a very restful weekend.
