We arrived late. Hotel called to check our arrival and explained to call before we arrived to be able to park on property. Staff were polite and helpful. Had to leave a £50 deposit, for additional charges, will refund what is not used. Just no details about thus on booking.

Really nice and clean. Great beds. Plenty of room. Good shower. Perfect location. Polite staff. Value for money. Close to Warner Brothers and shopping centre. We only stayed a night and hardly touched down but it was great. I will always wonder why every hotel puts out just two teabags though 🤣

I really loved the stay. The shower room was nicely decorated and amazing to use. They had a nice setup for the room I.e the bed was comfortable, you could watch tv to pass the time, a kettle with amenities such as sugar/tea. The view outside was also beautiful. Overall I really felt relaxed and at home

My line manager had booked the room for me as my IHG account wasn’t approved yet by my GM and I was greeted by Zahr if I spelt that right, I do apologise if I’ve spelt that wrong, he was very friendly, he did his job by trying to figure out if I was an employee of holiday inn, which he did his checks and my information had come back correct, I left earlier that night and come back and I was still greeted with a friendly welcome from him. It’s been a pleasure to stay with the holiday inn, my room was cleaned to perfection and I’ve had no issues, Zahr deserves to be employee of the month if that’s a thing here. Quick booking we arrived at 7pm had to check-in at the reception next door holiday inn very quick and smooth, was confused as its within the hotel itself and opened the doing to a beautiful spacious apartment we bought food from a local restaurant was lovely to eat and use the kitchen with a dishwasher too! The bed was huge but rock hard... the only thing we disliked was the stifling heat absolutely no air and no air conditioning whatsoever! There was a tower fan and a normal fan provided but didn't make any difference whatsoever although it was July it was torrential rain outside English weather so wasn't hot outside I had to have 3 showers and kept having to go outside during the night to get air , didn't have a comfortable sleep whatsoever and tge fans on all night long either side of the bed with the windows open only around a cm because that's as far as they would go, but if there was aircon this would of been my favourite stay ever ,the local shops restaurants and town centre is a 10 min walk away and parking is £8 per night even with a disability badge. Your able to use the facilities in hotel for food and drinks but we used the local restaurants nearby and used the fridge for our own bought alcohol because it was raining outside... staff was above and beyond.

Generally, the whole hotel had a tired, grubby feeling. This is the first time we’ve felt this way about a Premier Inn. We’ve always avoided staying in Travelodge’s because we’d had poor experiences at a couple of their hotels years ago and, as a result favoured Premier Inn for many years since. However, our stay at Watford’s Premier Inn reminded of us of those poor quality Travelodge’s of old. The communal areas didn't feel clean, but more specifically there were issues with our rooms. We booked three rooms and we all passed comment to each other that the bathroom’s smelled damp and foosty, no doubt due to the fact that none of the fan/ventilation systems worked in these spaces. As the windows had been left open before our arrival we accepted that this was an hotel wide problem and that any request to room move would not result in an improvement. However, we were unaware at just how bad the smells were in our daughter’s room until later in the stay, as she assumed they were all the same and played it down. It was foul and was definitely coming from the shower drain. She then explained that when she’d taken a shower, the tray had flooded and she’d had to remove a foul green/brown sludge from the shower drain to allow the water to flow away. No one should ever have to do this!!!! The drain continued to smell foul and, as the fan/vent system didn't work, she left her bedroom window open all night to vent the smell, but resulting in cold air into the room. Had I known this earlier in our stay I would have insisted on a room change or refund. The decor was also poorly maintained. Cracks and gouges in the plasterwork, marks on the wall and tired/poorly maintained fittings. Asides from these issues, there were also communication issues over what breakfast’s we’d preordered, our vege bacon was overcooked when ordered on the first morning and the timer on the toaster didn't work.
