Seclusion Bay resort does honour its name... it is very secluded! There's literally nothing close by. A trip outside of the premises feels like a true road trip, the nearest shops and services are a good 20 minute drive away, one way. Walking anywhere is out of the question. Inside the resort, absolutely no services or amenities are located at the premises, not even an ice machine. . The cabins are cleaned upon check-in, but from that point on you are responsible for cleaning your own cabin, as well as cooking your own food, making your own beds, washing your own dishes... you get the idea. Not much of a "resort" service or feel by any means. The main attractive of this place is its lake front. Admittedly, it is a beautiful lake, though the water is very cold so not suitable to swim in it. There is a tiny sandy area for children to play, and a pier where you can fish. The resort does not offer rentals of boats, kayaks, or any water sports equipment. So unless you bring your own equipment (or drive 40 minutes round trip to procure yourself some equipment), there is absolutely nothing to do inside this "resort" other than looking at the lake. For the price of the stay, which is comparable to a mid-range hotel, you'd expect a minimal level of service from a self proclaimed resort. If what your are looking for is to rent a cabin that overlooks a lake, and seclusion away from civilization, this might be the place for you.
