Leider wurden wir vom Self Check-In im Erdgeschoss platziert. Die war dem Schlaf meiner ängstlichen Frau gar nicht zugänglich ebenso wie dass nur eine leichte Bettdecke zur Verfügung stand. Auch der vor dem Zimmer in hoher Kadenz vorbeifahrende Zug trug nichts zur Ruhe bei. Der Anblick zum Abfalleimer unter der Spüle wegen fehlender Türe war auch nicht gerade berauschend(wie wäre es mit Instandhaltung und generell etwas mehr Sauberkeit?) Unter diesen Umständen eher teures Hotel zumal wir am Wochenende da waren und das Frühstück extra bezahlt werden muss.

we stayed one night before going to Alpamare with our 2 kids (5 and 7), we had a room on 3rd floor with a nice view on the lake. It was very quiet, the bed was huge. the staff was very friendly, the parking next to the hotel is included, which is very convenient. the hotel is one minute away from Alpamare, the is also a shopping center close by. We had dinner at the restaurent OLEA and the food was good but the service was extremely poor and slow. We had to ask 3 times to get a beer and we never got the wine list after asking several times. the breakfast was good,including fresh orange juice but the scrambed eggs were cold in the buffet and some croissants seemed to be from the day before. I can recommand the hotel but not the restaurent.

That’s really the place where we feel yourself comfortable and good. We came without reservation, changed the dates and everytime family, yes it’s a family business here, comes to help us. Parking is free and available every time. You have restaurant and a bar in the hotel. So, don’t look on the modest look it’s really worth to stay here

The Wi-Fi was reliable and fast, enabling us to stay connected and continue working from the hotel without any hassle. A really disappointing experience, the aircon in the room did not work, we were given a double bed even though we had called ahead and were reassured that we had two twin beds. We got a room here as part of a package with Coldplay tickets so the room wasn’t booked directly with the hotel. This was the main reason we called ahead of our stay to ensure we had the correct bed setup - we are father and daughter so a double bed was not appropriate. When I phoned to confirm the person behind the desk said he was too busy with check ins and would call me back- two hours later and still nothing. When I called back the person I spoke to was rushing to get me off the phone, I confirmed that they had our booking and asked if we had a room with twin beds. The person I spoke to advised we had two twin beds and everything was fine, when we checked in after our concert this was not the case. The hotel was fully booked and the bed could not be split into two twins so we had to make do with a double. The room itself was very hot and stuffy, the aircon didn’t work - initially we couldn’t get it to switch on due to the finicky lock on the window but even once on it did not do much to cook down the room. The only positive thing we have to say really is that the breakfast was okay and staff did try and resolve the situation with the bed by coming to check if they could split the bed into two which unfortunately couldn’t be done. The shower was mediocre and there were no toiletries provided in the room - only some soap for hand washing. The shower heat was not consistent, it kept going hot and cold whilst in use. Overall I would not recommend this hotel, I am not sure how this is classed as 4 stars.

The hotel is wonderful in many aspects. The interesting thing is that it is located in Walliselen, just right next to Glatt Zentrum shopping department store. The hotel offers air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi access throughout the property. The Internet speed is fast. With the modern electric tram, not only the bus, brings me to reach the city center of Zurich and the Main Train Station in short time. In the room, it provides a flat-screen cable TV, a desk, and a bathroom with shower. At lobby area, I noticed that guests can also enjoy the food corner. There is a vending machines there. When need anything, the 24-hour front reception always is there. Very helpful staffs. I also would like to mention the General manager, Mr. Frank Trapa. He is very friendly. Our first time in Winterhur, so we did not know what to expect. The hotel is very well located - coming out of the front you are surrounded by shops and restaurants, and the train station is about 5-10minutes away. The rooms were nice - bed comfortable, and they have a pillow menu as well. The bathrooms are big, with toiletries from RITUALS. They leave little wafer sticks on your bed daily. There's a Nespresso coffee maker as well as a kettle for tea. Breakfast buffet is quite good as well, with mostly, if not all, food items of organic origin. The worst thing about this place is that it's a little hard to locate if you're driving there, as it's located in a pedestrian only area. But that's about it! There's a parking garage that the hotel uses but it's located BEFORE the hotel so after you've unloaded all your luggage, you have to circle back to the parking garage which is just a few steps before the hotel.
