There is a sea view when you open the door. The room is slightly small, clean and tidy, the service is warm, and the breakfast is a standard English breakfast.

The hotel is right next to the sea, and the scenery is pretty good when the weather is good.
The facilities are quite decent, and you have to open more than ten doors to get to the highest floor.
The most unacceptable thing is that when we went to have breakfast in the morning, we were told that there was no portion for us (the price included two breakfasts). They said they gave me the key when checking in and left without having time to confirm with me. Need breakfast? ? ? The fact is that after I got the key, I said thank you and was about to leave. I saw the waiter was hesitant to speak and didn't say anything in the end. In the end, they only provided us with some milk bread and no hot breakfast. It was really a bad experience.
However, after we left our things behind when we checked out, a waitress came out and gave them to us. Thank you very much.

Very clean, great breakfast, great friendly staff and a fantastic location. It was our 2nd visit and we will definitely be going again. Our room overlook the sea and was great watching the boats and surfers. Parking was only a 2 minute walk from the guesthouse

Went for a romantic week away at this lovely hotel. The owners couldn’t do enough for me. I asked for champers and chocs. Nothing was too much trouble. The new room is stunning and looking at the sea from the shower is a delight. Breakfast has got better. So much choice.

We returned to the Riviera once again for another wonderful stay. Everything was to our expectations, including the food, the views, the comfort of our accommodation and the wonderful hospitality. We’ve already booked again and can’t wait to return.

I booked this Guest House because of its location and friendly atmosphere. The hospitality of Zed, Emma and their staff was exceptional - so friendly and welcoming. My room was really nice with everything I needed, very clean and the bed was super comfy. I chose a sea facing room and the view was simply stunning. It just felt like 'home from home' but with the amazing view as well. From talking to other guests at breakfast as well they agreed that nothing was too much trouble - Zed was always on hand to answer any queries or problems that might occur as well as recommending places eat. I would certainly recommend this Guest House.

The location is perfect in Whitby , the facilities are spotless and each room is tastefully finished Zed and Emma are perfect hosts and the breakfast choice is exceptional The welcome folder is an excellent touch and a must read , you’ll appreciate Zed and Emma more .

Stayed August bank holiday weekend and made to feel very welcome from the off. Breakfasts were lovely and vast choice of good quality products. Rooms well decorated and lovely view of the seafront. Definitely would visit again 😊 highly recommended
