Converted from a former church manse into a hotel this place offers an unique combination of traditional elements and true Scottish feeling, directly located at the main road. The rooms are somewhat small, partly modernized and clean, comfortable without luxury. Bathrooms are simply, small, barely equipped with a minimum set of towels and soap. Overall, the entire setting seems as not yet finished and partly unharmonic. Typical ample English breakfast is served in a traditional decorated dining room, tiger skin included. The service is friendly and attentive. The rates are not a bargain, but acceptable, particularly if you include the free parking.

Because of my wife's very restrictive diet we went to the hotel in the afternoon to ask what was available. We were greeted by Ashley, a member of the owner's family. She brought a menu which had nothing suitable for a gluten-free, egg-free, fish-free customer. Ashley went to enormous trouble to list everything available and checked with the kitchen to see what combination of food could be offered. We booked a table and returned at the due time and again were given the impression that nothing was too much trouble. My meal was very well cooked and excellent in every way and my wife had an equally enjoyable meal. We will certainly go to the Queen's Hotel if we are in the area again.

Great stop on the way through Wick. Stopped for dinner and met up with friends. Food was great and family friendly. Staff were fun and friendly and this makes all the difference. Menu is simple and the fish and chips great value for money. Thank you

The lovely women running this place took me in and gave me a place to stay when there were problems with another place in the "bad part of town". I appreciate the kindness and found the place exactly what one would want as a traveler - they are a comfortable town inn with a good restaurant and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
