Puddle Duck Lodge – Adults Only

This is a place you visit and remember for the rest of your life. It's either a labour of love or a very close approximation. The room was magnificent as was the breakfast idea employed here. The garden is a simply beautiful and the team were excellent. I can't find enough nice words to say. Thank you to our hosts for helping make our first wedding anniversary special.

Ignore any negative reviews. The service care, cleanliness, attention to detail and quality at this accommodation are superb. Breakfast hampers are a delight and the gardens are beautiful. Conveniently situated for local attractions and restaurants. Well done David and Jenny. 10/10.

A lovely stay from start to finish. I only stayed one night but wish I could have stayed longer. I was amazed at the attention to detail in every aspect throughout the lodge. I noticed a lot of the complimentary products were locally sourced, which is a nice touch. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for a short walk into Bowness, with plenty of amenities nearby. I liked the idea of the breakfast hamper, but the menu seemed unnecessarily complicated. 4 pages of options and combinations was a bit much for me after a long day travelling. Although I must say it was very well presented and I enjoyed it. I would highly recommend the Puddle Duck Lodge to anyone visiting this part of the world.

A top quality venue in an excellent part of the town. Handy for the cinema, lake and a host of varied and popular restaurants ..... easily within walking distance. The accommodation was spotlessly clean throughout and exceedingly characterful both inside and out. Everything that any guest might want had been anticipated and met .... And more besides. A different take on breakfast provision which was to my liking - bespoke continental brek in your room. Rooms were large, en suite and had comfortable chairs as well as dining table & chairs. Parking was available, comfortable and secure. The pretty from garden had comfortable guest seating. An all-round excellent stay.

What a great stay I had , great host and a great breakfast which was brought to my room in a hamper My room had everything I needed and more nothing was missed off even a little dish for a used teabag lol so you get the gist of what I’m saying also the whole place was immaculate and spotless and only 50 yards from the Main Street and shops etc yet it was nice and quite last be not least not forgetting the loverly resident cat Neville who was 19. yrs old and loved a stroke Stay here and you won’t be disappointed

100% recommend this place! My sister and I had the most beautiful experience here! The place is so neat and clean and very thoughtfully put together. Location is fab! Just walking distance to the lake and bang opposite the bus stop. Multiple cute cafes around the lodge. The breakfast they serve is delicious! Multiple breakfast options for vegetarians. The experience here is better than a 5 star hotel. Jenny and David are very nice hosts. They are super helpful. The service is fantastic. The decor of the place is so cute, quaint and adorable. The garden is beautiful. You have to stay here while in Bowness! We loved our stay here! Not a single complaint. Everything was a 10 on 10! Full marks! The most charming BnB ever!

What a find! Puddle Duck Lodge is perfect - from it’s beautiful garden, meticulously kept to the wonderful, spacious & amazing decor in the room. Attention to detail is everything here. Spotlessly clean (no trace of any dog hairs!) and the charming theme to the room is lovely. Parking is a bonus and it’s just a short walk downhill to the Lake, so perfectly positioned. David & Jenny are fabulous hosts - and those impressive breakfasts are the best we’ve ever had! So much choice and beautifully presented- loved the Puddle Duck imprint on the toast! We had the most wonderfully relaxing stay and would not hesitate to return. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Honestly just so so lovely we will be back :) Stayed last week wit our little Jack Russell and i cannot fault a thing and the attention to detail is just fantastic. Upon arrival we were shown to our beautiful room and Rodney our 18 month old JRT was given a welcome bag with treats and a ball, a lovely bed and 2 blankets. Breakfast - amazing not a detail was missed, served to our room piping hot Thank you so much Brett, Sara and Rodders
