I’m not sure I’ve got the vocabulary to describe our experience. We stayed in two rooms in the hotel so I can only comment on those. The rooms are spacious, extremely comfortable and stylish. The food is very good. As a venue for a wedding reception it’s superb. The grounds are well maintained with a small lake with a variety of bird life (and you purchase swan food at the bar) should you have small people to entertain. The management have a fantastic staff group who not only know about hospitality but also demonstrate how it should be done. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Don’t be put off by the location near a road. The hotel is set back so you can’t hear the traffic though you may hear the owls in the night. The hotel is approximately 20 miles from my home so I’ll definitely be back for lunch.

Stayed overnight for a family night out, and had a few drinks in the beer garden before heading out. Very nice big beer garden, it was quite busy but the tables weren’t crowded together. Beautiful room with a lovely view out to the garden and to the lake that borders the hotel grounds. Very large comfortable bed, room was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options and it was a lovely morning so had it outside in the seating area. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely visit again. Fully recommend staying at this little gem.

This was the 4th time that me and my girlfriend have stayed at Worplesdon place. And each time just gets better and better. We might were lucky enough to stay in the brand new refurbished room and it totally blew our minds. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Simply amazing

Top notch service all around. Staff are excellent and incredibly accommodating. This place is well worth the visit, lovely countryside! I hope to come back someday. Great escape from city life.

What a fantastic stay at this beautiful venue! On arriving, the spacious and well-appointed bar is so welcoming and how lovely to have a choice of sitting inside, on the veranda or around the impressive gardens and lake. There are some lovely touches throughout, such as iced water available on the veranda which was so welcome on the hot day of our visit. Our room was equally fantastic. Very well presented; excellent quality toiletries, teas, snacks, mini-bar and a luxurious roll top bath to add to the sense of occasion. The room felt private, had great views over the grounds and was really quiet which is so important. A delicious breakfast rounded off our stay perfectly! Thank you to Tom and his team for a top quality experience.

Incredible service from Eleanor with check-in as well as a fantastic tea and coffee station for our meeting. The rooms and grounds are jaw droppingly beautiful and the bar had a great buzz in the evening, with diners and drinkers. Will return soon!

Booked this hotel as we attended a nearby wedding and it was listed on the invite. We didn’t really do much research or knew what to expect but we were so impressed. It was a nice day, and we were pleasantly greeted by families, couples and friends drinking in the beer garden in the sun by a lovely lake with black swans. We were equally as pleased with the hotel, our room was stylish, clean and comfortable. We were surprised how nice it was for the price. The decor was lovely, and attention to detail. There was also a stocked mini bar and snack counter with everything you could want… even face masks. (At a cost obviously!) We bought a bottle of wine with us so we were pleased with the fridge and even a range of glassware. To top things off, breakfast was unreal and included anything and everything you wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. Only downside was that we didn’t get to spend more time there due to the wedding!

Worplesdon Hotel had kindly donated a prize in a local school's Summer Fete Draw. My husband and I were the lucky winners. We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist and given a spacious, luxury, boutique room, with a beautiful view over the grounds. We booked extra for an evening meal, which was delicious. I had the whole plaice. Interesting vegetables, delicious desserts. Breakfast was tasty: a blend of buffet and menu choices. We explored the grounds by the lake before leaving. Staff took note of our two small difficulties: the shower door is hard to open from the inside, and the wash basin plug hardly lifts up. A change of staff during our meal led to a cocktail, rather than a mocktail drink being brought the second time to my husband, but this was sorted for him. We would love to stay again.
