Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Albany

Beds were very comfortable and room very clean.

A typical Fairfield Inn—it is clean and quiet. The Breakfast was quite good with multiple hot offerings. Love the oatmeal. The staff are friendly and courteous. We have stayed here before and will likely do so again next time we are in the area.

This stay was recommended by staff at the Marriott in Statesville. While we did appreciate the recommendation. We were looking for more quiet accommodations as the Marriott in Statesville was quite noisy, which made it very difficult to have a good night’s sleep for a long drive to central Florida the next day. They were accurate in that it was a very quiet location, however the venue isn’t clean. Thank goodness I also travel prepared with my disinfectant wipes. There was hair throughout the bathroom floor and pillows & bed (yuck). Also brought my own pillows. But you should not feel like you have to use your own stuff, especially if you are paying a pretty hefty price similar to their sister hotel in Statesville that was very well cleaned. My thoughts anbout Fairfield Inn Wytheville —The carpet in the room had stains. The phone, although did not use it had stains (eewww). The desk and dresser had ring stains as well. We arrived pretty late and was really hoping to have a restful sleep but instead had to do some housekeeping before we could get settled to get up at 6am for a 9hr drive back. I realize that this venue needs a serious update but that should not be the excuse to not tend to the cleanliness of the room just because it is outdated. C please clean and inside t rooms before you place your clients in them. The continental breakfast was just mediocre. The Marriott in Statesville lacked a variety of fruits and was hoping for fresh pineapples. You do get pineapples here but from a can (LOL). If you are looking for cleanliness and attentive staff I would suggest driving to Statesville and staying at the Marriott although it is not very quiet. If you want the quiet and stunning sunrise as in the photo and do not mind the lack of cleanliness of a suite then stay here at Fairfield. Gave points for views and quiet setting.

We were in Room 325 and the heating system unit made a terrible racket. We reported and they send maintenance to check. We were told that that there was nothing they oculd do; the system really needs to be checked! We did not want to change rooms for just one night. Otherwise our stay was pleasant and the staff very nice.

This Fairfield location was easy to access from HWY77 and easy to drive into historic Wytheville. The check-in staff was pleasant and efficient. The Lobby Décor is a little dated and tired but clean. Our room was clean, comfortable...standard Fairfield layout with mini fridge, microwave and desk. Décor was again dated and tired. Mattresses were comfortable and there was no traffic noise. Bathroom tap was installed backwards (hot where the cold should be) and was difficult to operate. We did report this to the staff in the morning, so hopefully they replaced it. Breakfast was standard bagels, toast, scrambled eggs and sausages, yogurt etc. So this met our expectations. Coffee was good. Checkout staff again was pleasant and efficient. Overall it was a good stay for comfort and service. We would stay there again.

The the hotel room was very clean. We were in a handicap room as we requested. The TV would not turn off, the toilet seat was loose and the Comfort's edge (rope) was hanging off which got tangled with my leg

The bathroom had long black hair in the sink and we have short white hair. That is not acceptable
