Xi＇an Spa Hotels

We loved staying at the Sofitel Renmin Square. Rooms very beautiful and very spacious. Staff was extremely kind and attentive (special thanks to William who was very helpful in finding restaurants and booking tours). Breakfast was fantastic and varied with both Western and Chinese options.

When we check in, my wife and me were very pleased with the utmost courtesy and speedy check in we received from the front office manager, Miss Kitty Shang whose professionalism is without doubt. She went the extra length in finding my Hilton Honors membership. We will happy with the cleanliness and housekeeping service throughout our stay. We were more impressed even when she extended the kind assistance during our checkout and giving tips and advice on our next visit. We received a well packed chocolate Terracota warrior which make our day more than happy to stay at this Hilton hotel at 199 Dongxin street, Xian. As we are visiting xi’an again, we will definitely stay at this hotel. Thank you Miss Kitty Shang, you make my stay pleasant and happy throughout with your service.

Excellent location beside the Grand Tang Everbright City and Wild Goose Pagoda with many vibrant night activities as well as amenities like convenient stores, local Chinese fast food places, Starbucks cafe and many restaurants etc. The interior and furniture can be a bit worn-off but overall very comfortable with an exceptional hugh bathroom with a bathtub and seperate toilet and shower. Top up for the buffet breakfast during one of our 4-day stay. It was superb and tasty with a wide range of local and international spread. The pastries were really good.

My wife and I decided to visit Xi'an for her birthday from November 30th to December 4th, 2023, and we chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt Xi'an during that time. In short, it is an exceptional hotel, offering super delicious breakfast with a wide variety of both Western and Chinese dishes. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. For examples, the gentleman in the front door of the hotel always welcomed us with very beautiful smile, the lady who took care of our room every day, displaying meticulous attention to detail that never failed to surprise us. The employees at the Italian restaurant were exceptionally kind, going above and beyond to provide extraordinary care and respect. When they discovered it was my wife's birthday, they surprised us with a small cake, decorated our table with balloons, and even offered us complimentary cocktails. Furthermore, the staff in the Lounge went out of their way to help me arrange a surprise birthday cake for my wife. They decorated the table with great care and passion, and even presented her with a thoughtful gift and a postcard, sharing their kind wishes with us. I almost forgot to mention that they also surprised me by offering a birthday cake when I was in my room. So, we ended up with three birthday cakes in one night that gave us the opportunity to share our joy and share a slice of happiness with the incredible staff. These are just some examples of their great team of their staff. Without doubt, I would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit Xi'an.

Special mention to the Housekeeper Jing Jing who is very friendly and gave good advise on the tickets to Museum of the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang and helped to arrange for the Everlasting Sorrows Show. She managed to find me discounted tickets. She also send us off after checkout and gave some souvenirs. Hotel Breakfast is sumptuous with a lot of variety. The check in process could be better and they only changed the room type but not the bed type though I booked wrongly on Trip. Hot Springs was a little disappointing, only single entry even though I bought the package and the pools are not really unique. Nonetheless still a very pleasant stay!

Very good service. Perfect professional service from all hotel staffs. Specially, I got to know the hotel staffs Marshall, Edward, and Gary because I had something to ask, and I thank them for their careful consideration of hotel pickup service and hotel use ...Also, Sarah and Joyce in club lounge had such a good attitude.Today is my last day of New Year's vacation and I'm so happy to be here and very satisfied. It's a good hotel that doesn't need any explanation.In front of the hotel, in the lobby, and on each floor, sculptures and paintings by Chinese, Korean, and Japanese artists are displayed. Personally, I like Korean artist, Son Bongchae's painting in the center of hotel lobby. I strongly recommend this Ritz Carlton in Xian.The best hotel in Xian.

While I didn't have a chance to explore the bar and dining options this time, and there are still some sights in Xi'an that I haven't had the opportunity to visit, I'm confident that these will be highlights of my next trip. Most importantly, the hotel's prime location and convenient transportation options made it easy for me to visit the major attractions of Xi'an, including the Ancient City Wall and the Tang Dynasty Night Market. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, nor would I ever stay there again myself. At the end of my stay, I was asked by one of the staff to share my WeChat information should I need them to help me arrange a future trip to Xi’an. Next day, I received a WeChat message imploring me to leave a five star review and a list of names I needed to mention (most of whom I did not recognize). This ruined the whole trip for me. I realized that the whole “nice” demeanor was wanting a good review and had nothing to do with the actual well being of the customer. I’m so sorry I shared my private WeChat with such an unscrupulous person. I have been loyal to the Shangri-La brand, but avoid this hotel. There is a clearly a pressure/work environment at this hotel no one needs or wants.

The hotel definitely has a 1950s luxury vibe, it's a part of a large Renmin Square hotel complex that share some facilities (notably a great swimming pool in the next building). The location is great, walking distance to the city centre and like 7 min from metro. The hotel made a mistake in my booking and upgraded me to a suite as a result (which was nice but that room was not ready so I had to wait). The suite was nice, with a comfortable bed and pretty much twice everything I needed. Also two wifis - only the Renmin one worked, the hotel one recommended by reception did not work at all. The room had like 20 switches next to the bed, I picked the 'Night' one - bad surprise, it also switches off the bedside socket so I woke up to a discharged phone.

While the service, on occasion, may not have been flawless, I commend the hotel’s proactive approach in swiftly addressing feedback, demonstrating a genuine commitment to continuous improvement and guest satisfaction. The presence of a well-stocked Mini Bar in the room further elevated my stay, providing a range of snacks and beverages that added convenience and comfort to my leisure moments. I must take this opportunity to commend the three dedicated butlers, Eric, Mandy, and Flora. Their professionalism and warm hospitality redefine the concept of “home away from home.” Always greeted with a smile, they patiently attended to my inquiries, even offering invaluable travel insights that enriched my exploration of the city. In summary, the Sofitel Legend Hotel in Xi’an has left an indelible mark on my memory, crafting an unforgettable experience.
