I recommend this quiet and clean ryokan. The staff was very friendly and the service was satisfactory. It is a bit far from Fukuoka Airport, but it is a place where you can rest quietly, so I highly recommend it. It is a place I want to visit again.

思い出しました English: On Saturday, April 15th we stayed at the Folk Crafts Harmony Room "Asagao" on the second floor. The guest room lacked an open feeling and was somewhat dimly lit, and the bedding on the bed was worn out, so it wasn't exactly modern, but the good quality of the hot spring and the amazing food more than made up for the negative impression of the room. The hot spring is an alkaline, simple, weakly radioactive hot spring that feels smooth and clings to the skin. The large communal bath and open-air bath, where the water flows directly from the source, are well maintained and feel very comfortable, and the quality of the water is one of the best I have experienced in Kyushu. From the open-air bath you can see the landscape of the green countryside, and there are terrace chairs set up as well. There is also a sauna, which is always well kept and well maintained whenever you use it. We ate both dinner and breakfast in the dining room on the first floor. Each seat is a booth to ensure privacy, and there is also terrace seating. The menu is well thought out and all dishes are served fresh. The presentation was excellent, and the sashimi and salt-grilled yamame trout were both delicious and looked great. The horse meat sashimi, unique to Kumamoto, was also excellent, and the marbled horse meat was of very high quality. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and was able to relax. I think it's surprising in a way that there is such a wonderful inn in such a rural area.

　今回の九州旅行を計画しているときに見つけた、「菊鹿温泉」。調べていくうちに、熊本県の北部には、それほど有名ではないけど、お肌にとても良い「美人の湯」が評判の温泉が点在していることを知りました。その中でも評判の良いこちらのお宿、花富亭に宿泊してみたいと思い、予約を入れました。 　花富亭は、菊池市の中心部から北側へ数kmの丘陵地帯にありました。エントランス横の和傘が素敵です。館内は、木のぬくもりが上手に生かされていて、建物自体にやすらぎを感じました。 　期待していた温泉は、化粧水に浸かっているような肌触りなんです。翌日のチェックアウトまで、何度も入りました。食事は「旬の創作会席」と名付けられた会席料理です。豪華な食材をふんだんに使っているわけではありませんが、どれもほっこりした優しさにあふれた料理で、とても満足しました。 　接客を含めて、随所にやすらぎが感じられれ、心身のご褒美に最高のお宿ですね。

I stayed in a room with a semi-open-air bath in February 2023. The large public bath has a high ceiling, and because it is open, it is very cold except when you are soaking in the bath. There are two bathtubs, one with lukewarm water and the other with a high temperature but small. There are many steps both inside the building and in the room, so elderly people should be careful. The atmosphere inside the building, the service of the staff, and the quality of the hot springs were very good, but when I checked out, I found out that the nationwide travel discount was not applicable. Even though I confirmed that it was an eligible accommodation and booked a plan on the official website that said "Now is the time to rediscover Kumamoto," I was told that "It can only be applied if you make a reservation through a travel agency." I think such precautions should be clearly stated on the website. It was a trip with a bad aftertaste.

　菊池市の中心部から北西の方向に10km近く走った丘陵地帯に、この日の私たちの宿泊先である花富亭がありました。エントランス横の和傘が迎えてくれました。 　まず、温泉がいいですね。アルカリ性の、トロトロのお湯で、女性が好きそうな美肌のお湯でした。食事も、熊本の里山の料理で、一品一品がていねいに調理されていて、ほっこりした優しいおいしさなんです。スタッフの対応も好感が持てました。支払った金額以上のおもてなしに大満足の温泉宿でした。

2家族でお世話になりました。 食べきれないほどの凝ったお料理、露天風呂、細やかなサービス、スタッフの方の対応など素晴らしかったです。 ウェルカムドリンクサービスは素敵なバーカウンターででお抹茶をいただき、初めての経験でした。 子供がちょっと食べ過ぎて、体調不良だったのですが、嫌な顔ひとつせず対応して下さり感謝しています。ありがとうございました。 機会が、あればまた訪れたい宿です。 どうもありがとうございました。
