We stayed for three nights. Each day when we returned, the key wouldn’t work. The office is in Penny’s cafe. And while the people working were nice, the hotel and room was very low class and dumpy. No drinking cups in the room. Had to go ask for cups from the restaurant. This is a hotel that caters to the rail road workers so very industrial feeling. Definitely not worth $220/ night hotel! Well stay in steamboat next time.

Sometimes they serve outsiders at the diner, sometimes not. Staff were dismissive, ignored me at check-in, and didn't seem to know how to operate technology. Avoid unless you really need to save money.

Over priced and dilapidated. No pool, coffee maker, or front desk. The place supposedly had a flood on the first floor so we didn't get a king bed. People were getting drunk in the entrance to the motel. It smells weird. It's dirty. Something fell off the wall when I walked by. The carpet was horrible. Don't stay here.

We had stayed here before. Only place to stay before heading into mountains on horseback camping. It serves its purpose. Seems like they had tried to upgrade a bit since last stay. Room appeared clean but just wish we had had 2 beds instead of one full size bed for 2 adults.

Not a clean healthy place to stay. Fridge was useless, no coffee pot. Just a place to lay your head but did not find it to be very sanitary. The building smelled bad , like rotting garbage. Key card did not work had to get a new one. Simply not a comfortable place to be.

I lost credit cards and other important items that were recovered and turned into Lisa, the GM. I didn't discover my loss until I was 1.5 hrs. out from hotel location. Lisa promptly and kindly offered to mail these docs to me. THANK YOU LISA!

Came in for a Snowboard competition at Howelson Hill, but with everything else going on in Steamboat lodging was minimal in availability and horribly high priced. For 25% of the cost of a general hotel room in Steamboat I stayed here. Quiet and an easy 40 minute max drive. The diner next door had fabulous food and great service. I’ll be coming back.

The property is not a quality place. It is very dingy and has an odd location with check-in at the attached diner. The actual hotel has few amenities. I think the worst part was lack of comforters on the beds-- one sheet! In Winter! They did have a blanket for each of the beds folded to the side of the room, but it was odd.

We were on our way to Steamboat Springs for a day of skiing and chose to stay 29 miles away to save lodging expense. We were happy that the bed was so comfortable and the towels were so fluffy! Staff were very nice and helpful.
