The surrounding environment of the house is good, there are many delicious foods and low noise. Enjoyed a very pleasant 4 day trip to visit the historical and revolutionary sites of Yan’an and the trip was made much better thanks to a very comfortable and convenient stay at the Wanda Realm. For anybody who plans to visit the city I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is located just to the south of the old city of Yan’an in the newly built Wanda City area. It is a 15-20 minute taxi ride to the old center (depending on traffic) and it’s relatively easy to call a taxi with a ride hailing app like Didi. It’s also within walking distance of the Red Street 红街 tourism area that has a theatre, cinema, activities, coffee shops and restaurants.
The hotel is new and all of the main public areas are clean and well maintained - such as the lobby, hotel rooms, restaurant and gym/pool. The gym contains my favorite Life Fitness gym equipment (a quality brand) and the multi-lane, 25m meter pool is a dream for anyone who likes to swim. It even offers a good view.
The hotel breakfast is very good value for money and offers a high quality selection of Western-style food (bread, eggs, bacon, sausages and cereals) as well as very tasty local Chinese food - especially local Yan’an/Shanxi noodles and dumplings. For any foreigners like me, you’ll get a good sense of local taste with good ingredients.
The room was very clean and spacious with nice balcony and great view of the lake and Red Street. Service staff was excellent and many staff speak good English. We even received a nice hand written message and welcome fruits.
Especially if you travel with children, this is where you should stay in Yan’an. Thank you for making my holiday more enjoyable.

CCat I had a wonderful stay, Lian Jie was very generous and hospitable. She showed me how caves were created and made me a three course dinner! There was great hot water shower and heating panel which kept me feeling toasty even as the temperature plummeted in the night. Definitely recommend this place when you go to the Yucha canyon - it’s 3km away and a fantastic way to help the local economy while enjoying local hospitality.

JJohnSuper lovely place to stay. Quaint, welcoming, location is a top a mountain just above the Yellow River with beautiful views of the hills. Rooms are clean, the food is amazing local cuisine. If there was anything negative…the beds have no mattress. Literally a bed frame made of wood with a 2-3 cm comforter. Yes, I prefer hard form beds, however the beds in this hotel are hard as rock, impossible to sleep on your side. Woke up with an aching back, here’s hoping the owners of the hotel do what’s needed and provide actual mattresses, a basic type will do.

First, after placing the order, they asked if there were children or elderly people, and whether they needed a quieter room. The care was great.
Second, the hotel is in a good location. The old Jiefang Theater and Qingliang Mountain are right outside the door. Across the road is the bridge. You can see Pagoda Mountain on the bridge. Wanda and Erdao Street are across the bridge. It is very convenient for traveling and eating. It is recommended not to drive when going to Erdao Street, but to walk there. First, it is difficult to park, and second, it is easy to get stuck in traffic.
Third, the bed in the hotel is very comfortable, the kind that you want to buy one yourself. I have to praise the hotel. There are 4 bottles of water in the room and 2 bottles in the refrigerator. It is very friendly and convenient for business travelers.

The digital door lock via WeChat is a highlight, but it’s a bit inconsistent to need to get a ticket for meals! The sanitation is good. There is a washing machine in the laundry room that can be used for drying. The parking lot is a bit small and you have to go out backwards, but it can be parked no problem. There is room for improvement in the breakfast. It is a bit monotonous at the moment. The beautiful woman at the front desk has a very warm attitude.
