Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yokohama-Koen Reviews

Overall hotel experience was good! In particular, I like the amenities bar which provided small packets of face wash, face lotion, overnight milk and other tools like comb and razor so we could take what we needed to use. Similar concept is also used for coffee and tea bags, and the tea bags comprise rooibos and chamomile tea. Breakfast place is compact but the food was good! Thanks for the experience!

For a Daiwa Roynet, I found this hotel a bit disappointing compared to their other hotels. Their other hotels tend to be much more modern in feel and minimalist yet comfortable. This one felt "old". Flooring was minimally carpeted so the floor felt hard. Beds were not as comfy as their other hotels. But the rooms seemed larger than normal even for standard rooms. Location is good because it's right on the outskirts of Chinatown and the Yamashita park and station. So from the hotel, accessibility to Yokohama is great.

Reservation was last minute. I booked smoking by mistake. Still it was ok to change. Check in was smooth and fast. Bed was large... Definitely appreciated as I am 6'2 with long arms and legs. The wide TV was also most welcomed to work with. I had business graphics to analyze. It was convenient to connect the HDMI cable from my laptop. It was a quite room and internet was fast. The neighborhood is really convenient whatever you might have in mind... Restaurant, taxi, public transportation, park walk, even the Stadium is near by... Not to mention the biggest Chinatown in Japan. I paid less then 4000 yen for one night, one person... (Including a few discounts). So, it was an overall good experience. I was just bothered by the TV remote control not working properly. But i managed.

The hotel location is an 8-minute walk from Kannai Subway Station, and it takes 1 minute to turn left after passing the Yokohama Baseball Stadium intersection. Very close to Chinatown and Yamashita Park. There is a Don Quixote duty-free shop near Chinatown, and duty-free shopping is also convenient. The front desk is on the third floor, where you can check in and check out by yourself. There is Lawson downstairs. The front desk staff were very helpful and patient. Disposable toiletries provided (need to pick up by yourself) The hotel has a washing machine that automatically adds laundry detergent and can also dry automatically. It rained heavily the day we went and the clothes got wet. It was really convenient for us to be able to wash and dry the clothes in two hours. The room is spacious and comfortable, suitable for business and travel.

The price is just over 300 a night, and it takes 15 minutes to walk to see the Gundam. The Indian girl at the front desk can speak English, but has a slight accent, and is very enthusiastic. The check-in guidance is detailed, and the room environment and price match the location, and it is relatively clean.

Extremely satisfied! The service attitude at the counter was very good, and the housekeeping staff was also very considerate. She was Auntie Dongbei. She was very considerate and gave me directions. It was a very satisfying accommodation experience!

Compared to other Roynet hotels, we were satisfied with the amenities. Since I don't like coffee, I especially enjoyed the rooibos and herbal tea bags. It's far from JTB Kannai Station, but the building is nice and I want to come back again.

Right next to Yokohama Chinatown I'm happy to be able to drink, eat, and go home right away. The hotel has a luxurious feel Yokohama Stadium and Yokohama Park are also nearby.
