Comfort Hotel Yokohama Kannai Reviews

Booked the hotel room during festive season and was charged 190usd for the room. Room furniture and equipment are old and seem to be at least 20 years old. Room felt cold even with centralised heater on and wifi connection was unstable. There was also brown stain (coffee?) on the day curtain and the night curtain could not be closed completely. Would recommend that one source for other hotels in the vicinity (many) and likely could find a better option out there.

Not worth paying about US$100.00 per nite for a 17m2 room. Breakfast is simple and complimentary. Almost the same type of foods for past 6-days. The price of the breakfast should be included as part of the room rate of US$100.00. There is welcome drinks daily of coffee and teas as well.

Very tight accommodations near metro stops. The bathroom was very small and the tub took up so much space it was wasted. The refrigerator was unplugged upon arrival and it took several hours to chill so I don't recommend bringing home leftover food that needs refrigeration.

Convenient location near the Kannai JR and metro stations. Also most attractions are within walking distance (red brick warehouse, Chinese Street, Fast Noodle Museum, and Cable Car). The room is new and clean.

This hotel is very very bad for us

The location is like 5 minutes walk from kannai station, the front desk can speak English, some of them are really fluent, they have humidifier but the aircond is central heating, so if you are too hot, the only option you have is to turn off the aircond.

Nice clean hotel at convenient location. Room for three was in a very good size. The only shortcoming is the breakfast area a bid small and crowdy.

This is my second visit to Yokohama. The hotel is close to the train station and only a few minutes' walk away. You can find food of different grades and flavors everywhere in the surrounding area, as well as one or two Chinese restaurants. Chinatown, the Nissin Museum, and the cable car can also be reached within a 20-minute walk. On your trip to Izu, you can stay in Yokohama for one or two nights and play for two days. At this price, the hotel also includes breakfast, which is fine for light meals. There are free drinks and coffee on the second floor, ice machine, self-service laundry (200 yen) and drying (100 yen/half hour) on the third floor. But they only accept 100 face value coins. We stayed for a few nights, and when we left and went to another hotel, my daughter said that she missed the Yokohama Kannai Hotel!

I was planning to watch a DeNA Baystars game during my stay, and it was great that the hotel was so close to the stadium and the station. I'd like to come again. I was also glad that I could leave my luggage there easily.

I couldn't get a hotel near Shin-Yokohama because of my favorite idol's live show, so I stayed at this hotel for two nights because it seemed convenient for transportation. It's close to Kannai Station and there are many shops around. Check-in and check-out are self-service and quick... You can also bring your own room amenities from the front desk. If you're doing morning activities, you can walk to the Minato Mirai area in 15 to 20 minutes 👍 It was great to take a walk while looking at the beautiful view of the harbor in the morning. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the limited breakfast menu. It's a business hotel, so maybe that can't be helped? But... there's no Japanese food menu? There were few side dishes... it was a shame ＞＜ The good thing was that the lighting in the room was not as dark as a business hotel would be... it was bright and easy to put on makeup. Excellent chain hotel. Stayed in a family triple room (3 small beds) for two nights on weekdays in April 2024. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable; two of the small windows were widened, about 120 cm, and the other small bed was slightly smaller, about 90 cm wide. The windows can be opened to let in fresh air from the outside; there are ventilation holes above the windows. If the windows are not opened, the ventilation holes can be opened to let the air circulate. It is really a great design. There are toothbrushes and toothpaste in the room, and other supplies (pajamas, combs, etc.) need to be taken from the supplies cabinet next to the counter on the first floor. The guest rooms are located on the 3rd to 14th floors; the hotel's official website and elevator notices emphasize that all guest rooms are non-smoking, which makes non-smoking guests feel at ease. The counter staff can communicate in English, their attitude is friendly, and their explanations are detailed, which is worthy of praise. Guests can enjoy the self-service beverage bar next to the lobby on the second floor for free, including coffee, black tea and sencha tea bags. Breakfast is a self-service Buffet with ordinary dishes. There are two kinds of fruits in the salad area and two kinds of freshly made juices. The breakfast dishes have changed a bit for two consecutive days. The dining area for taking meals is not big and there are many people diners, which makes it a bit crowded. After finishing the meal , the tableware needs to be carried to the recycling place by yourself.
