Basic but comfortable stay. The room and toilet were clean. The location was great to explore york and nearby spark box (eatery) & convenience store

Good room, Convenient location

Nice n convenience

It was listed out on December 25th and someone was cleaning the trash. But when I went out on the 26th, no one cleaned the place, and the garbage piled up like a hill, which was quite unhygienic. not good.

Very poor not recommended

Had a trip to York with my wife and stayed at the central travelodge. Location was amazing, right near so many attractions and restaurants. Room was perfectly clean and comfortable. All the staff were lovely and happy to help us with directions.

Came for a weekend away girls trip and this place was perfect to stay. Location was ideal, so close to all the bars and pubs. Rooms were simple but very clean and comfy, perfect for just a couple nights. Reception staff were very helpful when we needed hairdryers and irons! Can’t complain, would stay again!

The hotel is in a great location - next to the Castle Museum and Clifford's Tower. It is pretty well maintained, with a few scratches on the wall here and there. It is very good value for a hotel in such a central location in York. Be aware there is a Wetherspoons next door, so it is rather noisy at night, until throwing out time.

Nothing to complain about. Rooms were clean, reception were friendly. Easy to get to from the train station. Walking distance to everything I needed. I would stay here again if I came back to York as it was a nice hotel for the price. Classic Travelodge experience

I came here with my partner for our first time visiting York. We were greeted by friendly staff and felt taken care of for the rest of our stay. Rooms were clean. Close to town. I enjoyed being next to the weatherspoons for breakfasts. Great stay no complaints

Super easy check in and easier check out, just drop key card in the box at reception. Undisturbed by staff, can come and go as you please due to key card access at the front door between 10pm and 6am (open normally but locked overnight for safety). No issues, rooms clean and uncluttered. No need to talk to anyone. Doesn't have kitchens but not an issue as on top of a wetherspoons which is very inexpensive. Nice view of river and back of castle. Not too much noise from wetherspoons either.

Not the hotels fault but our stay wasn't the most relaxing due to the noise coming from next door at Weatherspoons and general noise from outside. We stayed for 2 nights and both nights we hardly had any sleep. For that reason I wouldn't stay here again if I was to ever return to York in the future. The staff and hotel itself no issues the rooms where clean and when I told the staff about the noise we where given earplugs we was unable to move rooms due to the hotel being full.

This travelodge is very handy for the centre of York. Qpark around the corner is a short walk away with a good discount given. Very friendly reception staff on check in and check out. Would stay here again.

Lovely hotel lovely setting just need to sound proof the windows because of the Wetherspoons next door
