Once again we have had a great time The staff are always friendly and helpful the breakfast is great York city is easy to reach from Wheatland lodge hotel either by walking or catching a bus we've been here 12 times over the last 3 years and I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone

It only takes 12 minutes to walk from the train station to the hotel. The hotel is a white house, which is very beautiful. Especially in winter, the golden trees and warm sunshine make people feel particularly beautiful. The room size is not bad! Big bed, breakfast included! Convenient to York attractions and dining

The setting is unique, noble and elegant, British style, the location is super suitable, I will stay here again next time!

Hotel had a relaxed atmosphere & ’ staff were very welcoming- car park a bit tight, we got our car parked up for the 2 nights, but would have been disappointed if we’d had to look for a space on the street.

I visited York to attend a Conference and it was great to be able to stay at a quiet hotel, avail of their parking facilities and walk to and from the Conference near the train station. The service at the hotel was superb - very friendly, efficient and helpful.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Close to shopping and dining with a slight walk.

Really nice hotel . Lovely atmosphere and good breakfast. Really clean and tidy. Only issue is the parking which wasn't great for a hotel this size .

The hotel was in an excellent location, with restaurants and bars nearby. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, room clean and bed so comfy. Hotel appears very well maintained, has own bar also. Would definitely stay again.

Brilliant location , easy walking distance into york, excellent breakfast, we had some minor issues with our room some one was rectified immediately the others were minor that house keeping should rectify for the next guests

Nice hotel in a good location 10 minutes walk from the train station and 20 minutes stroll into the center of town. Hotel was well kept, clean. Reception was very friendly and helpful. They where happy to look after our luggage on checkout. Breakfast was excellent, good choice available and food was very good. Staff where all polite, fiendly and helpful. Bedroom was large, comfy and clean. We would be happy to stay again and would recommend the hotel.

It was a very good stay apart from the mattress was either old or not a very good quality one. My wife was fine but I was basically touching the frame through the mattress and didn’t sleep well at all. Breakfast was outstanding quality and service.
