The room was very clean and the waiters were very nice.

A hotel worth staying at. The English breakfast was good. Good value for money. Remember to include breakfast when booking. Breakfast costs 10 pounds per person.

Third brother's hotel is okay, right? All in all, well, I think parking on the street is okay for the parking fee.

Last minute booking. Really good deal. We arrived to friendly staff . We were in annex 7 out the back of the main building. It's lovely. Large and spacious .bathroom has under floor heating . Separate walk in shower cubicle and extra large bath. I came too relax and this was luxurious . Annex was clean, bright and spacious.  Free WiFi. Sat in back garden in the sunshine. So peaceful.  It is a good walk to the Centre of town. But the bus stop is yards away.  Breakfast was fabulous.room was pleasant as were staff. Well worth the money . Young man on reception was very helpful. We had Uber deliver our tea. He offered to bring down,when delivered . Couldn't be more helpful . Great stay.  Plenty of rear parking too   

We came to York for a few days and enjoyed the breakfast here. The hotel is gorgeously decorated, the rooms are quaint and very warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and happy to help guests. It was a short walk from the city wall and in early March the weather was surprisingly warm. It was a very comfortable walk. If I had an opinion, the only thing was that the English breakfast was very greasy, either fried or roasted bacon. But that didn't prevent us from enjoying it. It is more private than a large hotel chain and I will definitely return here again. Thanks to Home Holmwood for a comfortable stay!

Just back from 2 nights here. Plenty of parking available and reception staff had a very relaxed attitude so a good start. Upgraded to a  huge 4 poster bed room, (no 5) which was on the main road side. Some road noise but nothing too obtrusive. A few bits of wear and tear on show so if you want perfection, don't book here. Everywhere was clean, the bathroom, work surfaces the lot. Plenty of coffee and milk available in the bedroom. Breakfast? Lovely welcoming staff on duty. Superb food, only us in on Friday morning so it arrived in minutes. Juice, cereals,  yogurts you name it plus an absolutely delicious full English which got demolished. Same the day after but the room was almost full of diners. A great stay and would definitely return again. Thank you!
