This was a very comfortable stay, close to the South Gate entrance to the national forest park. The host was very helpful, friendly and we really appreciated his excellent effort of speaking English to us. We were able to use the laundry services and the wifi connection was good when we got it working. Lots of restaurants close by to get dinner in the evenings. Great stay- would recommend!

The room was clean and comfortable, the location was spectacular (a 15 minute walk from the national forest park), and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We had the best time!

Good service, clean and big room. Location is good, next to the south entrance of the park (like 15min walking), easy to access public transportation and restaurants. It is located in Wulingyuan but not inside the commercial area, from the hotel to the Center of the district: it’s a 40/50¥ ride (20/30min).

I was very lucky to get Ctrip’s housekeeper to contact me and help me find this homestay because the host did not have enough rooms to refund after booking. I originally wanted to follow the online guide to start from the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, but I didn’t expect that this homestay was only 20 minutes away from the South Gate, and you can travel in reverse: arrive at the East Gate at 4 o’clock on the first day (before arriving at the homestay) - one-tenth of the Golden Whip Stream - Ten-mile Gallery (the small train is charged separately). Stay overnight at the homestay. The second day: it rained heavily in the morning until 12 o’clock. At 1 o’clock in the afternoon, the enthusiastic proprietress drove me and the elderly and children to the South Gate for three minutes - Huangshizhai (mainly around the Five Fingers Mountain, it has different names when you look at it from the side and it looks like a mountain) - South Gate Golden Whip Stream (after the rain, the evening is smoky and dreamy, like Journey to the West). The third day: leave the homestay at 7 o’clock in the morning and walk to the South Gate. There were not many people checking tickets at 7:30. It cost 120 yuan to find a local farmer to lead the way, which saved time and effort. They volunteered and started the reverse tour. The enthusiastic proprietress gave the map and drew a route map. Yangjiajie-Yuanjiajie (Mihuntai, Avatar filming location, No. 1 Bridge in the World, 10 yuan Yuanjiazhai with guide)-get off halfway at Tianzi Mountain, 78 yuan per adult for a round trip tour bus to see Dianjiangtai (also called Yubi Peak, different locations, the same mountain with different names) and the opposite ladder-Yangjiajie to see the Great Wall (worth a look)-Jinbianxi sit and rest. Come back and set off in the morning, one person takes a cable car, and the transportation bus is a special bus for our family, haha. Reverse tour is not crowded. Day 4: At 12 noon, walk from the entire line of Jinbianxi in the South Gate to Jinbianxi in the East Gate. Some elderly and children walked for two and a half hours to take the ladder, and basically no need to queue. At this time, people who came down the ladder lined up for three kilometers. I directly chose to take the reverse bus back to the South Gate: Ladder bus station-Yuanjiajie-Yangjiajie-cableway down the mountain to take a bus to Longfeng Temple in the South Gate, walk down and take a bus out, and sit in Jinbianxi to enjoy the scenery. No one will fight with you for the cable car when you go down the mountain. The transportation buses are basically special. There is a Xiangxi Tujia cuisine restaurant at the right intersection of the South Gate. The price is not expensive and the taste is good. I ate there for three consecutive days. The vegetarian dishes are basically 80 yuan for three dishes and one soup. Spicy and sour potato shreds are 12 yuan, scrambled eggs with tomatoes are 18 yuan, loofah soup is 15 yuan, eggplant and potatoes are 18 yuan, and mapo tofu is 20 yuan. Meat dishes usually start at 30 or 40 yuan. The dishes are slow to come out, but they taste good. I drove to see the Seventy-two Wonders Tower (which is a hotel) at night. The parking lot opposite the building is relatively empty, just right for taking panoramic photos. Tickets are required to enter the food street.

Very friendly shop owner, humorous, warm and knowledgeable. I like chatting with the boss lady. Her optimism and open-mindedness deeply infected me. If you feel that your life is not satisfactory, I suggest you chat with the boss lady more. Chatting with her will make everything disappear, and only beauty will remain in the world. It is really worth recommending. I will stay here for half a month. I like the stream in front of the door the most. It is clear and pollution-free.

A simply superb hotel! The room was great and the bed super comfortable with a very soft duvet. The place is within walking distance of the entrance gate to the National Park. The value for money is very good and the place was quiet. However, it happened that some mornings around 6 a.m. people were talking loudly in the corridors on the loudspeaker telephone, which was unbearable. Consider that this is not something respectful.

There is only one lady boss, no waiters, the room is damp (it was midsummer, I stayed there for two days, the floor was always wet, the quilt was damp), dim, there was almost no one at the front desk, I had to find everything by myself, and basically solve the problems by myself, the stay experience was very bad

When visiting Zhangjiajie, the first choice is to stay at the South Gate, which is quiet and not noisy. You can travel with the team at off-peak times and completely avoid the team. You can ask the boss for detailed guides according to your own time. It is very practical. The boss is very sincere and will respond to any request.

The room is clean and the environment around the inn is good. The boss is also super nice. He also recommended us a tourist route, which is very practical and not a pitfall. The inn is located at the south gate of the scenic area, about a ten-minute walk away. It is highly recommended. There is no restaurant in the inn, but the boss recommended Tujia Ama Sanxiaguo, which is moderately priced and tastes OK.

The room facilities are very complete, clean and sanitary, and the service attitude is excellent. The boss also provides free pick-up and drop-off to scenic spots, which makes me feel like home. I recommend this hotel to friends who come to Zhangjiajie.
