Room area is very clean. Super near the Wulingyuan scenic area entrance - 10 minute walk. Yet in a reasonably quiet street, so you'll get a pretty decent night's rest (perhaps bring some earplugs if you're an exceptionally light sleeper like I am.) Xiaozheng at the front desk is very friendly and replies promptly to WeChat messages and when we head down to look for him - he came up straightaway with a plunger when we were having toilet issues (do not throw tissues into the bowl, there is poor plumbing throughout Zhangjiajie as is typical through most of China outside of the big cities). Curtains were good and didn't let much light in. Washer and dryer facilities for free - good after a few days of playing in the mountains. Extra bonus - the cat, Handsome Boy, is very cute!
Now for the few downsides - toilet light is very dim. The shower area is also sort of mouldy but that is to be expected given the general dampness of Zhangjiajie. The shower glass door was VERY heavy and I nearly slipped trying to get it to open. That said, the shower gets nice and warm, and the water pressure is reasonably decent to wash your hair. No conditioner (just bring some).
We enjoyed our stay and it was a nice base to see the sights from. The bay window area is comforting to rest and drink tea and write at. Overall, for the price point, extremely reaaonable.
