Yinian Siji Theme Inn (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park) Reviews

Boss was very helpful planning my itinerary for wulingyuan and tianmen. He speaks English very well, so very foreigner friendly. He gave me free breakfast, simple but enough to fuel me for my hikes. He helped me book everything and I got lost the first night and called him and helped me get back 😅. It is about a 15 minute walk to dongmen of wulingyuan, which is no problem for serious hikers. The room is simple and comfortable, only needed a place to lay my head, as most of the day I was hiking. Very close to snack street, where you can get food after your hikes. For anyone doing wulingyuan, if you are serious about it, don’t take any of the transportations apart from the free bus, you will find hidden areas where there are no people. All the places where the cable cars lead to will be filled with masses of people.

We stayed in this hotel to have easy access to the National Forest. It’s also very easy to get from here to Zhangjiajie to access Tianmen mountain and Furong Town. The service is amazing, we only stayed here for one night but we had so much support from the hotel to get around and access everything we wanted. When we arrived after a long night train, we were immediately shown to our rooms so we can rest and get ready. We were also upgraded to a free breakfast in the morning! Overall, I HIGHLY recommend staying here!!!

We highly recommend Yinian Siji Themed Inn for anyone visiting the ZhangJiaJie National Park. The location was very convenient for accessing the East Gate of the park (main entrance) by 15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride. Mr Chen was always available to help with every need including booking tickets, planning out the best routes around the park, reserving evening shows, arranging cars and finding good meals. His English is excellent and his commitment to customer service was amazing! His staff made a generous breakfast according to the needs/taste/schedule of each family. The location is central between ZhangJiaJie city (airport and Tianmen Mt.) and the ZJJ Grand Canyon (glass bridge). The rooms were comfortable, clean and attractive.

My review has been overdue. The condition of the room is exactly as advertised and clean. The strength of the shower is consistent and there is plenty of water to cater for a continuous shower of 3 people. The room's layout is very well thought out and the heater is working well. When we arrived the temperature suddenly dropped by 5-6 degrees as it rained. The windows are double-glazed thus providing good insulation. The owner is friendly taking time to advise guests on a customised tour route. In addition, he was very obliging. I requested to use the laundry as my grandson soiled his clothes due to vomiting earlier. All in the experience was good and we extended our stay by one more day. This is definitely an accommodation that we will return to if we visit Zhangjiajie again

Simple but nice hotel. Owner speaks English very well and he is very helpful. Didn't like that there is no separation between the toilet and the shower and that the lobby and breakfast area is very hot.

Cozy Chinese style budget friendly hotel, near the main attractions of Zhangjiajie. Check in was hassle free considering the tight regulations during my visit. The owner is very friendly, helpful, and speaks English. I got a free room upgrade. There are many local food stalls in the neighborhood. It was a nice stay near the old town.

Booked a special room. After arriving at the hotel, the front desk guy upgraded the room. Also gave me breakfast, which was great. I would recommend it to my friends. It's not far from the Wulingyuan landmark gate. The taxi price is starting at 500 yuan. Not far from the door is the night market snack bar. There is also a pharmacy. It's very convenient. Because I have to go to the forest park in the morning, the breakfast shop is open very early.

Wrong product, bad attitude. I booked a "Vernal Equinox" deluxe twin room for 3 nights. When I went upstairs, I found that it was not a "Vernal Equinox" deluxe twin room, but a "Mangzhong" Jingya twin room. The price difference was 234 and 192. Although they both have two 1.5m beds, the room is more compact and the bathroom has a frosted glass wall. In order not to be embarrassed, I had to wait until my 13-year-old son went to bed before taking a shower. The merchant insisted that it was the same and repeatedly emphasized that "you can return if you don't want to stay." If something goes wrong at work and the arrangements cannot be made, I accept negotiation, but I get angry if someone is overbearing. It was 39°C at noon, so I had to stay with my two children because I didn’t want to worry about it. After all, I had to save energy to climb the mountain. But I never expected that the merchant would call Ctrip to tell me that their standard room could only accommodate 2 people, not 2 adults and 2 children. Just now he entered the four ID cards into the system himself. It was obvious that the merchant knew that he was going too far and was bullying, so he wanted to drive away customers, and he was too guilty to let the order go into effect, lest I have the opportunity to review it truthfully. I was so angry that I said that if the 2 large and 2 small rooms were really over-subscribed, I could book another room elsewhere. Even if I couldn’t stay, I still had to make the order effective. Therefore, I had to rely on it to make the order effective, and the services on the order were not provided. Yes, I just picked up a few maps at the front desk. Ctrip's staff were very empathetic and understood my experience, and offered to compensate me after checking out (I'm very pleased with Ctrip's fair attitude). Although a gentleman who claimed to be the store manager later came forward to soften his attitude and brought a bag of snacks, his previous attitude was too outrageous and left indelible damage to our trip. Even after waiting for three days, the person involved did not wait. Apologize sincerely.

The service was good, and the clothes drying rack on the roof was also good. The guy at the front desk was very friendly. However, I was scared to death when I encountered a cockroach crawling out of the bathroom on the last day.
