Zhangjiajie Huangting Hotel (Wujiayu Ticket Station, Wulingyuan Scenic Area, National Forest Park) Reviews

Everything good, the hotel is 3 minutes walk from the east entrance of the national park. The whole city is by the mountains so Wulingyan is a little cold but the hotel provided the air conditioner to stay warm, everything worked fine.

I definitely won't be back. A positive point of the hotel is the location, it is very convenient, not only because Zhangjiajie Park is very close, but it is located in the middle between Tianmen Mountain and the Glass Bridge Park. Very convenient. I went with a friend and they gave us a room that we hadn't asked for, I understand that they were renovating (one day we ran out of light) and that the room was more expensive than ours, but having a bathroom and shower with glass was very inconvenient, especially because it wasn't what we asked for and we were not a couple. None of the staff spoke English and they demanded that we speak Chinese, in my case I don't speak it, but my friend does. When he wasn't there they treated me badly just because I didn't speak Chinese, you can't have a hotel where you accept foreigners and don't speak English, especially in a tourist spot like Zhangjiajie. Once I asked for water at the front desk (I don't understand why we had to ask for it everyday) and they didn't understand, the word water is basic English. The day we arrived the room was not completely clean, there were ashes in the bathroom (we had asked for a non-smoking room), the room smelled of cigarettes and there was not even a pillow. The day the light went out we couldn't close the window, so we asked for help and they replied that it was because of the light since the room was all electric; In the afternoon when we came back from the excursion (and the light was back) the situation was the same, with the excuse that it was too late they put some scotch tape on the window and said they would fix it the next day. They never did and the day we left there window it was still like that. We had to have the air conditioning on all the time because of the cold. We have to say that a lady of the staff was very nice to us and even stopped us to give us the fruit, even though there was the problem of the language barrier, she was very kind and friendly with us.

When you walk in, there is an overwhelming smell in the lobby. We checked in around 8 pm and the workers were all lounging on the chairs, with their feet up, and when we got to the desk, they were simultaneously checking us in while chatting with each other. It felt unprofessional. The room we booked was the superior queen and the hallways leading up the room reeked of cigarette. The room’s window was wide open and the entire room just reeked of cigarette. Killed a few bugs and it just felt super unclean. Location was great as it was really close to the ticketing booth, if it wasn’t for that, I would probably not book it again.

Very nice hotel

The room size is great. The twin room was upgraded to a family room, which is very spacious. The bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas, which is a great layout. The room is also equipped with a clothes dryer. The downside is that Ctrip wrote that afternoon tea was provided, but it was not provided at all.

It is very close to the east gate of Zhangjiajie. It is fast to enter the park in the morning, and it is only two steps to return to the hotel after playing. There are also many small restaurants around. Generally speaking, it is very good.

The hotel staff is really patient and enthusiastic. No matter how many questions I asked about Zhangjiajie tourism, they were able to answer me actively and enthusiastically. Moreover, they would take the initiative to ask about my arrival time and turn on the air conditioner in advance, so that I could enjoy the coolness and comfort as soon as I entered the room. When I left the hotel the next morning, if I forgot to bring water, they would also kindly hand me ice water. During my stay here, the sleeping environment was extremely quiet and the area was relatively quiet. In short, this stay experience was perfect, and I did not encounter any unsatisfactory things, which made me very satisfied. Here, I accidentally dropped something, and the hotel staff was able to help me find it quickly and in a timely manner.

The hotel is very close to the sign gate, just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel has a good environment. There are many restaurants and food streets around, and it is convenient to eat. Very satisfied with the stay experience.

The facilities are old, the sound insulation is very poor, and the service is even worse (I didn't ask how I felt during the whole process, the phone was completely blocked, the front desk couldn't call, and there was no free mineral water, and there were not enough slippers). I went to the front desk to ask for help in booking a six-month stay. Even though I was in the car, I couldn't help.

Zhangjiajie is undoubtedly a fascinating place, with beautiful scenery like poems and picturesque, which makes people indulge in it and linger. Huangting Hotel also left a deep impression on us, and the stay experience was great. In the hotel, we felt the meticulous service, and every detail was taken care of just right. The interior of the hotel was clean and tidy, without any peculiar smell, so we could rest comfortably and sleep sweetly every night. In short, this travel experience in Zhangjiajie was perfect.

It is very close to the landmark gate and surrounded by many food stores. It is a paradise for food lovers. The front desk ladies here are very considerate. They are not only warm and friendly, but also help plan the route and send detailed maps. This is really valuable! The room is very spacious and gives people an extremely comfortable feeling. It is really top-notch! The bed is especially comfortable. When we were exhausted after climbing the mountain, we didn’t want to move at all when lying on it. The comfort made people intoxicated, as if all the fatigue was dissipated in this moment. Here, we enjoyed the ultimate accommodation experience, and both body and mind were greatly relaxed and satisfied. In short, everything here is impressive and unforgettable.

If you are not too worried about the hotel's hardware facilities, you can consider it.

The hotel's front desk service is warm, thoughtful and caring, and all questions raised can be answered seriously. The hotel is located in a busy area, but there is no noise at all. The overall environment is warm and quiet, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Very satisfied! There is also a restaurant I like next to the hotel! I will definitely choose it next time.
