Very good hotel for a few nights stay. Very friendly staff who would do their best to try and help you. Easy check in with only green code, no need to do COVID test. Nice swimming pool on the 6th floor. Keep in mind that it closes at 9:20-9:30 and don’t forget to bring a swimming cap. The location is not great. There isn’t much around so it was a perfect stay on our road trip. Free parking with lots of parking spaces. Good value for money.

Came to Zhanjiang on a business trip and booked the Garden Hotel. The housekeeper Xiaoxian contacted me in advance and arranged all my needs. It was great. The front desk receptionist Xiaomo checked me in quickly and introduced the hotel facilities very considerately. Xiaoqi at the guest service center had a sweet voice and could solve problems quickly. I arrived just after 11 o'clock in the evening. As soon as I arrived, he sent me a very detailed guide to Zhanjiang, including where to eat Mazhang Market, which is popular among locals, and how to eat oysters for breakfast tomorrow. Before going out the next day, he introduced me a lot of French colonial history and stories in Zhanjiang. He took out the first Chinese version of the treasured ”Lonely Planet” and introduced to me the original script of the movie ”Journey to the Angry Sea”. From the Zhanjiang history chat Going to the movies and then talking about the trip to Hainan was really unforgettable! I only stayed in Zhanjiang for two days this time and only went to Chikan Old Street. I will come back to Zhanjiang to see the sea next time when the pineapples are ripe. Then I will stay here again!
