Because it is the Mid-Autumn Festival, there are moon cakes, Zhenjiang Yaorou, which tastes good, and there are many Western pastries. In short, it is great! The Chinese restaurant was also very good. Since we went there late that day, we didn't order much, but the dishes we ordered tasted good. Service: The waiters were great, especially Wang Ziyi from the Chinese restaurant. When we arrived, it was almost time to get off work, but she took the trouble to help us lay the tablecloth, etc. She was also very kind to the children. All good except the room service, which I was forced to use, as I had to work late from my room. Ordering was not at all simple (having not spotted the QR code notice on the fridge work top. But response was swift, so too was delivery of the order. However, the ”Ceasar Salad” was sorrowful! Lettuce leaves awash in some sort of watery white fluid, with no discernable taste, some croutons and a few pieces of dried bacon. Especially disappointing given how lovely the fruit and vegetables are most of the time in China. Main course ”Lemon and Herb Chicken” should have been listed as ”Lemon and Herb Skin and Bones”!!! There was virtually NO actual chicken meat. Roated tomatoes and asparagus were lovely, Dessert was uninspiring, but compared to the salad and main course for sure the best course. The Wine? Completely undrinkable. Opened, poured a small amount to taste, spoilt. It happens, sadly! Would be a good idea to open the wine to test before serving

Zhenjiang is my father's hometown. I once passed by on a business trip in the late 1990s. I remember that time I only visited Jinshan Temple. So this time I came to Zhenjiang after retirement. I read the Zhenjiang travel guide on Xiaohongshu, which recommended staying in hotels in the Xijindu area. So I searched on Ctrip and found that there were many hotels with good locations in Xijindu, and it was almost difficult to choose. After comprehensive consideration, I chose Shuxiang Xinbo Hotel. Among the hotels with a rating of 4.5 or above, I prefer the design style of the hotel, which is a combination of traditional and new designs. I was just worried that there would be no parking spaces for self-driving tours (the reviews said that there were few parking spaces at the door), so I contacted the hotel in advance to confirm the parking spaces. They said that there were still parking spaces at the door, and the hotel had another parking lot nearby, so there was no need to worry. Fortunately, we were able to park at the door for the two nights we stayed. Probably because of the off-season, I booked a double bed room, and the hotel upgraded it to a suite for free, with an elevator (the hotel was renovated from an old house in the Republic of China, and the building is about 4 or 5 floors high). The suite has a living room + cloakroom + standard king-size bed room. The space is relatively large and clean. The 2-meter-wide bed has good bedding, soft and comfortable, very nice. In addition to the standard toiletries, the bathroom is also equipped with a bathtub film. This is the only one we have seen in the multiple hotels we have stayed in since we drove all the way from Guangzhou. For this reason, this is also the only time we dare to take a bath in the bathtub in the hotel to relieve fatigue. The plastic slippers in the room need to be called to the front desk (this is the experience gained from this self-driving tour). The little robot will send the slippers up and will notify by phone. It is silent when walking and does not disturb people. It is very cute. Looking at the comments, there are criticisms about the electric control switch in the room. Sure enough, the design of the electric control switch is too alternative and niche, and the operation is not intuitive. You can only grope for the buttons. It feels that it is not suitable for hotel use, especially for the elderly. However, the switch is a small flaw and has little impact. Overall, the hotel experience is still very good and cost-effective.

The location of the hotel is excellent! Walking distance from the train station and many restaurants and stores in the area. The breakfast was really delicious and the variety was a good balance between western and Chinese. The rooms were a little small considering the price, but they were very clean. There was a problem with the AC system, because the settings could not be changed from heat, and we were getting extremely hot. The bed was so comfortable. It made us want to sleep so long. The front desk clerk was not very friendly or welcoming. He kept coughing and therefore was a bit hasty to check us in. Overall, I would say the stay was enjoyable purely for a few amenities, and I would recommend the hotel, but not for a long stay.

Hotel location is very good, only 460 meters from Xijindu Ancient Street, about6-7 minutes walk. In the evening, strolling in Xijindu Ancient Street, as if crossing the town of ancient and modern, feels very comfortable. The hotel has a elegant environment. The small western-style building in the architectural style of the Republic of China is scattered in the garden. The osmanthus in the garden is in full bloom, and the garden is full of fragrance. The hotel is clean and welcoming. Special thanks to the waiter Xiao Ren, who is very warm and meticulous. Before we check in, we will send a short message to inform the location and traffic direction of the hotel, and the weather conditions in Zhenjiang, which makes people feel very warm. There are also good Chinese restaurants in the hotel, and the cooked Huaiyang dishes are exquisite and delicious.

The decoration of Zhenjiang Mingdu Hotel is grand and solemn, and all services are in place. They also provide turndown service at night. The waiters Panpan and Xiaozong are very conscientious and responsible in their work. They also thoughtfully brought us good night snacks. Seeing that we are old, they carefully reminded us to pay attention to the weather conditions. The breakfast variety is rich and delicious, and the stay experience is very good.

Before I praise the room, I should praise the location. The location is really amazing. On one side is Zhenjiang and on the other side is Yangzhou. The name of this Jiangxin Island is also good. It was originally called Yanzhizhou. I fell down in the misty rain in the south of the Yangtze River as soon as I went there. The room was very clean and the front desk was very nice. Enthusiastic, give us good reviews, and actively introduce the scenic spots on the island to us. If you can see it, please add chicken drumsticks to the front desk.

This is our first time to Zhenjiang. This hotel is within 10 minutes taxi ride from Zhenjiang railway station. On 27 Dec 2023, we arrived late at night and all the shops nearby the hotel have already closed. So, no dinner. The reception staff, Fang Rong and 张师傅, took good care of us by offering snacks and carried our luggage into the room. The hotel’s location and environment are fantastic! It is located at Xijindu ancient street where you can stroll along the ancient street. The museum and old British consulate are within walking distance from the hotel, through the ancient street, past a 观音 cave. Another tourist spot, Jinshan 金山 is also within 20 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel’s breakfast is delicious and good value for money. The hotel’s room is very clean, very comfortable and very nice. The hotel’s staff Steven is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. Upon check out, we got a small trinket as souvenir. I had a pleasant stay and will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you all for the outstanding service and warm hospitality during our stay.

The family went to Zhenjiang and wanted to relax a little, so they chose this hot spring hotel. The duplex suite has two floors, each floor is very large, and it is very spacious for four adults and a child. The surrounding environment is also good, and the mountain is very close, so it is very comfortable to climb. There are not many hot springs open, and the pool is not big. It is almost like a private bath for the whole family to soak together. Overall, I am satisfied

The room was very clean and quite big. The parking location was very convenient, directly at the entrance of the hotel. The key point is that the parking lot is very large, with above-ground and underground garages. The water pressure in the hotel is good, so the bath water is very large and very comfortable. The room is very clean, and there are warm reminders in the bathroom. The front desk seems to provide hair clips and other items for free.
