Young lad very helpful when checked in offered help to take luggage to room If you struggle with mobility ask lower floor as lots stairs up to top floor small corridors Woken up 1am by people in the street on way back from pubs Friday night not hotels fault but that's problem with hotel being on a side street The corridor light kept coming on shining under the bedroom door and people shutting doors make noise Bed lovely and comfortable and room lovely and clean can't complain Seagulls on the roof every night so loud The second night was even worse for noise I had about an hours sleep due to people outside street and seagulls on roof! I know the hotel can't control this but not an ideal location The staff are lovely , especially the lady at breakfast Breakfast sausages were poor but rest was ok It's more of a B&B than a hotel If I could get a full nights sleep I would stay again

The staff working at this hotel were very good nothing was any trouble, very polite and efficient. We had a superior room it was clean and roomy with a view out to sea. The meals were good value but it was let down by not being hot enough. The second night there were to many shortages on the menu something for the chef to address! The hotel is convenient for walking to the beach and shops. The entertainment was an elderly lady singing not particularly good would suggest that gets changed.

Just stayed for one night at this hotel. Like some others, I had an issue with the air conditioning. As it’s a new build it should be powerful and efficient, it’s not. On arrival it was a stuffy, warm 23.5 so I adjusted it down to 19 (it wouldn’t let me go down to 18 which was annoying) and hoped it wouldn’t take long for the temperature to reduce. Many hours later it had only dropped a little and then at 11pm it stopped altogether when it was 21 degrees so no idea what that’s about.🤷‍♀️ I kept waking up throughout the night as was too hot. You can’t open the window so was uncomfortable so if you’re menopausal or prefer a colder room go elsewhere. The shampoo bottle had come off the wall already even though the hotel hasn’t been open very long. The water from the shower doesn’t drain away quick enough so your bathroom floor ends up very wet despite the bath mat soaking up most…..badly designed by the looks of it. Breakfast options are limited for vegetarians, I ended up having scrambled egg (which was powdery/horrible texture) mushrooms and beans. The queue for the toaster was long. It was very busy and the placement of everything just didn’t flow. Weirdest layout of a hotel buffet I’ve ever seen. I did enjoy a couple of pastries from it though. I stayed in room 414, it’s at the back of the hotel on the top floor. The bed was comfortable and it had lovely big telly. The hairdryer works well.

Stayed as part of a coach party. Hotels catering for coach parties, 3 coaches in on my visit, sometimes fail to deliver. Whilst on arrival it took almost 40 minutes for keys to be issued and luggage delivered to my room, considering the limited number of staff available and another coach had just arrived, it was acceptable, complimentary tea and coffee on offer. My room a twin, had everthing I needed although would probably be on the small side if two people were staying. The bathroom was functional if compact but the shower was terrific, plenty of hot water. A large TV and ample storage space. The evening Meal was exceptional, no pre ordering here, everything brought to your table, Each coach party was allocated a slot, although as the week progressed this was very flexible. The restaurant manager was 5 star, never seen anybody deal with service, staff, customers like that, well done. Breakfast was equally slick, all you had to do was ask and tea coffee toast jams would appear. No cold food here. The entertainment started with Bingo followed by the nights guest, again all very good. Any niggles, lift was small and at busy times overstretched, the building is old and corridors reflect this. Overall this was a 5 star experience in a 3 star hotel.

Welcome is second to none. The staff were so welcoming and it made our stay feel like a home away from home. The hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean. The food was very good by hotel standards. The location is perfect step outside and cross the pedestrian crossing and you are literally on the promenade and only a few minutes from the pier.

To be fair it was a lovely stay , yes the building is a little dated but it was built nearly 200 years ago , We received a warm and friendly welcome from Ged our host who showed us to our room which was clean and very nicely presented, the fire evacuation call was explained and so was the breakfast arrangement. Following morning breakfast was presented… a nice full English and Blueberry pancake with syrup both enjoyed with no complaints. All in all a very nice stay with lovely hosts . Parking was available on a first come first serve basis . Thank you Ged & Clare for a very pleasant experience Gerry & Bev or John & Gill 😍
