The room is small, clean and hygienic. The so-called sea view is not worth mentioning. The beach at the door is not bad. You have to bring your own toothbrush, so if you are in transition, you can choose cheaper nearby. During the epidemic, it was 1,000 yuan in Male. I don’t know how much money it usually costs.

Star Shell hotel was a complete disappointment, I would not recommend it for a family with young kids. We paid USD. 30 dollars each way for the taxi which was total a rip off. They claim it was 15 USD per room and we had two rooms but we were 2 adults and 2 kids and the rooms were small . On the airport we had to look around for the driver he was not waiting for us at the entrance of the arrivals. We arrived at the hotel at 9pm and were given our rooms half an hour later but there was a horrible sewage smell from the air conditioning it was so bad that we had to use our perfumes to diffuse the smell. The furniture was very old, the bed was creaking very badly to even sit on, the mattress was so uncomfortable that we all woke up with sore backs the next morning. The A/c to was not cooling well Our room included breakfast but without even checking our preference we were brought eggs sunny side up with 3 small pieces of sausage and 3 slices of bread, it was a complete put off. We had to meet our resort representative at the airport again, so we ended up having to pay another 30 USD to take us to the airport. This was supposed to be a private car but they put another 3 guests in the same car and told us we had to accommodate. The pictures put up are deceiving. This hotel is not good any even a one night stay… do not go to it if you have had a long flight and need to get some sleep. I would give it 0 out of 5.

I stayed 3 nights and had to get a pcr test for flight home to Australia. This family run hotel were very helpful, transferring me to and from airport, organising the pcr test, lending me usb socket, milk for my room tea and lugging my luggage up and down stairs. The room was small but perfectly adequate with good air conditioning and quiet fan, fridge etc. I was on second floor so didn’t hear any noise from café downstairs. There are good restaurants within walking distance. I enjoyed my stay.

We had a nice experience at this hotel, they were really warm n nice. Breakfast spread could be improved but for the price they r selling and the property being beach front I guess this is great. We were here for a quick transit to catch our flight as it would be longer if we transit directly from resort. Best part this hotel gives free to and fro transferd for free.

The first day said that it was an airport pick-up. We waited for half an hour at the airport and didn't come. As a result, we called Ctrip and said that no one was picking up the plane, let us play the taxi ourselves. Later, I found Ctrip to handle the expenses for us. The downstairs of the room is the beach, but the beach is not good, and it is messy everywhere. No beach on the island is clean and beautiful. The room in the gourd horse is very small and very noisy, and the house is being built next to it. The room was clean and the breakfast was very simple. A few slices of bread and an omelette with a glass of orange juice were the same every day. It can only be used as a transition to the island for a day or two. There is no comparison with the island. On the second day, we took a taxi past Malé. The 10 minutes journey took us $25, it was too dark! The city of Male is the capital of the Maldives. Come and go out and see, the small capital. There are shops that exchange coins in the urban area, and RMB 100 is exchanged for 200 Lafia. $100 is for 1555 yuan of Lafia, and you can buy things with Lafia, and it’s a good deal to eat. It’s not worthwhile to pay in dollars! Half a day is enough. Don't go by boat, just take a taxi and go to the China-Malaysia Friendship Bridge in the past. When we went back, we exchanged the Lafia currency in Malé. We could rent it back to the hotel with only 100 Lafite. Equivalent to RMB 50.

The room was small, but the bed was very comfortable and clean. The small hotel was very close to the beach. It was just a few meters down the stairs. There were a lot of barbecues and dining places downstairs. The night was noisy and the breakfast was OK. The nearby fish market restaurant well
