We only decided to go to Xi'an in Nov 2025. It was our first trip ever to Xi'an. Due to the short notice plan and not knowing much about the city, we have to gamble on our choice of hotel. In actual fact, we have booked 3 different hotels before we finally agreed to pick Center Hotel as our choice. We are glad the hotel met our expectations. Clean, spacious and the best part was, it has its own opened deck. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is very strategic, walking distance to everywhere. About 15 mins walk to the Muslim Quarter & the Great Xi'an Mosque. Less than 10 mins walk to the Kaiyuan Mall. Quite a short distance to other commercial areas such as Saga Mall. Easy to get a ride.

The hotel is located a bit off the main road, tucked away inside. It's a charming, stand-alone building with trendy and impressive decor throughout. While the rooms warm up quickly once the heating is on, the hallway tends to be a bit chilly. The laundry room has three washers and three dryers, but it gets really busy in the afternoons, often leading to queues because there's so much laundry to do. It's a nice touch that they provide individual packets of laundry detergent and even pretty laundry bags. The dryers only have a fixed low-temperature setting, so they take a while to dry clothes. Each bathroom amenity has cute cartoon patterns printed on it. In the lobby, there's a small cooler with complimentary bottled water.

Three families, including mine, stayed for four nights. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with Metro Line 2 right at the entrance. We could easily walk to the Muslim Quarter, Bell Tower, and Drum Tower. The service exceeded our expectations; they proactively added us on WeChat before check-in and communicated with us daily, even upgrading all three of our rooms for free. I have to specifically mention the hotel's breakfast—it was excellent, especially the various noodle dishes! Their homemade 'zenggao' (steamed glutinous rice cake) also received unanimous praise from all of us! Overall, it was a stay with great value for money!

In this bustling city, this hotel is a quiet sanctuary. The wood-themed decor feels warm and soothing, and you can see the thoughtful touches everywhere, from the greenery to the artwork in the hallways. The room's aromatherapy scent is subtle and pleasant, and the soft bedding ensures a great night's sleep. In the morning, I enjoyed a gentle breeze on the terrace with a cup of the hotel's homemade floral tea, watching the busy traffic below. All the fatigue from my travels just melted away.

Nice hotel with very friendly, helpful staff that were very attentive to our messages on WeChat. They helped us plan our visits to the Terracotta Army site (can get there by metro and bus 613) and Mount Hua (high speed train from Xianbei). Nice room with good facilities. Shower head was a little faulty and some water leaked out of the shower/toilet basin area into the main room, but otherwise no issues. Free self service laundry provided, and free bottled water available at reception. Good heating, comfortable beds. There was a large window but no view. Good location, a short walk from the metro. It is a little hidden down an alleyway when you first arrive but the hotel provides clear instructions on how to find it and there are lots of signs to point you in the right direction.

This hotel is absolutely perfect. This is my fourth time staying here, and every single time it feels like coming back home. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming — from the receptionist to the cleaning lady, everyone is always friendly, helpful, and respectful. The place is spotless, very clean, and has such a chill, peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to relax. Everything is well taken care of, and you can really feel the attention to detail. I always have a great experience here and will definitely keep coming back. Highly recommended.

A perfect stay! Choosing this elegant hotel was absolutely the best decision for my trip to Xi'an. The location is truly unbeatable – just a 3-minute walk to Yongning Gate to climb the city wall, and a 10-minute walk straight to the Bell Tower. The subway entrance is right outside the door, making it super convenient for getting around and exploring without any detours. At night, I could even enjoy the illuminated Yongning Gate city wall from the hotel – the vibrant lights created an incredible atmosphere. The room itself had a modern and elegant design that blended perfectly with the ancient city's charm. It was spacious and well-lit, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a truly restorative night's sleep. The bathroom had excellent wet and dry separation, and the toiletries had a subtle, pleasant fragrance that was very comfortable to use. The facilities were comprehensive, and the hygiene was impeccable. I highly recommend this hotel!

This stay was very bad. Very bad. We were arranged to stay in the north. The north side faces the street. The cars passing by at 4 o'clock in the morning, especially the cement tankers, were very loud. It was impossible to fall asleep. No matter how good, comfortable, and welcoming the hotel is, it can't stand such noise, especially the window where I stayed was the entrance and exit of the parking lot, and there was an intelligent voice gate that announced the vehicle number in and out, which was very loud. The experience was very bad, and I would like to remind you. If you stay in this hotel, don't stay on the north side of the hotel.

Stepping into the Xi'an Huaqing Yutang Hotel felt like being instantly transported back to the glorious Tang Dynasty. The hotel is built into the hillside, seamlessly blending with the Huaqing Palace ruins. Its black bricks, grey tiles, and upturned eaves everywhere exude a rich Tang-dynasty charm. Upon check-in, staff dressed in traditional Tang attire offered warm welcoming tea, and their meticulous service made us feel truly valued. The guest rooms perfectly combine Tang culture with modern comfort. The antique-style furniture is elegant and exquisite, and the bedding is soft and skin-friendly. The most delightful surprise, however, was the private natural hot spring bath right in the room. Sourced from the ancient springs at the foot of Mount Li, the water is smooth and rich in various minerals. Enjoying this luxury in a private setting instantly washed away all travel fatigue. At night, gazing at the starry sky from the balcony and listening to the wind in the mountains, it felt as though I could hear echoes of history. The hotel's exclusive 'Jinghong Travel Photography' service was undoubtedly the highlight of this stay. From hair and makeup to clothing, a professional team meticulously created full Tang-style looks for us. The makeup artist's techniques were delicate, and both the hair accessories and makeup aimed to authentically recreate the splendor of the Tang Dynasty. Donning the gorgeous Tang-era Hanfu, we instantly transformed into characters from a painting. Our photographer was not only highly skilled but also deeply knowledgeable about the history and culture of Huaqing Palace. He guided us through pavilions, terraces, and hot spring pools, choosing the best lighting and angles to perfectly blend the beauty of Mount Li with our poses. Whether it was the languid charm of a concubine bathing or the classic elegance of gazing into the distance from a railing, each photo was like a beautiful ancient-style scroll, immortalizing our Tang Dynasty memories. The entire photoshoot was relaxed and enjoyable, and the results far exceeded our expectations. Summary: A dual feast for body, mind, and culture. The Xi'an Huaqing Yutang Hotel is not just a place to stay; it's an immersive cultural experience. It nourishes the body and mind with ancient hot springs, infuses the soul with the splendor of the Tang Dynasty, and then uses the 'Jinghong Travel Photography' to eternally capture these unique memories. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a hot spring lover, or a traveler seeking a unique experience, this is an unmissable and perfect choice for your Xi'an trip. I highly recommend it to anyone who yearns for the elegance of the Tang Dynasty!

XXiaoqiyaWe stayed for two nights, on the 16th and 17th. On the 15th, I received a call from the hotel asking about our room preferences. I requested a room with a good view, non-smoking, and quiet. When we checked in, the staff assigned us room 213. This was the lowest floor I've ever stayed on in a hotel, and it was room number 13! I was surprised that the hotel actually had a room 13! How could an international hotel like this assign room 13 to a foreigner? During afternoon tea that day, besides my husband, myself, and an Asian mother and daughter, all the other guests were foreigners. This made me realize even more why I was so unlucky to get room 13! This hotel has such a unique room number 13, and they treat their own compatriots differently from foreigners! However, the smart toilet in room 13 was broken. It wouldn't automatically lift the lid or flush when you stood in front of it. What was even more unbearable was that as soon as you sat on it, the toilet would make a loud gurgling sound and automatically spray water on your backside. We tried it twice, and it happened both times. Also, the light switch was malfunctioning and didn't work. As a result, our room was changed to room 206. Neither room 13 nor room 06 had a French garden view; you could only see trees outside the window. Room 06 overlooked a concrete platform. I stayed during the off-season, and there were only a handful of guests at both afternoon tea and breakfast. Even during the peak breakfast time at 8 AM, there were only four tables with no more than ten guests. In such an off-season, why couldn't they offer us a higher floor with a better view? The male butler from the hotel called in advance on the 15th to ask about my room preferences; wasn't that just being insincere and fake? The staff's service level was inconsistent. Two female servers at afternoon tea and breakfast simply didn't observe guests' needs. The slim, tall female server in the afternoon tea restaurant had an ice-cold expression and no proactive service awareness. One female server in the breakfast restaurant looked like she hadn't woken up yet, with messy hair, no makeup, and ill-fitting work clothes, completely lacking the demeanor of a star-rated hotel employee. More importantly, this server didn't proactively observe guests' tables. Every time, we had to call her to take away the empty plates. Even more exaggerated, when she took away empty plates, she wouldn't simultaneously take away empty cups, nor would she think to ask. Let's talk about the problems with the breakfast restaurant: First, the flowers on the dining tables were fake! For a 'diamond-level' hotel like this, how can they put fake flowers on the tables? If they want to save costs, there are many ways: place some air plants or soilless succulents, or even small, easy-to-care-for plants. Anything real would be more tasteful than these fake ones. Regardless, a 'diamond-level' hotel should not have fake flowers on its dining tables. This is disrespectful to guests. Second, there was a wide variety of bread, but no chain-type toaster to heat the bread. This is usually a staple at the bread station in five-star hotels. Yet, at this 'super five-star' hotel, you can only eat cold bread for breakfast. Third, the restaurant only provided toothpicks, not dental floss sticks. Nowadays, even very ordinary restaurants offer dental floss sticks. A 'diamond-level' hotel like this should provide guests with dental floss sticks, and ideally, toothpick brushes. Additionally, the steps in the bathrooms of both room 13 and room 06 were damaged. In room 13, the hotel actually used cheap, uneven gray adhesive corner guards, which looked very out of place and clashed with the exquisite French decor. They should have used brass stair nosings! During my two-day stay at the hotel, Ms. Doris Du's kindness, politeness, proactive work attitude, and professional image left a very good impression on me. After we checked in and received our key, she led us to our room. She first gave us a tour of the hotel and introduced its history. On the day we checked out, she happened to be on duty at the front desk. She was the only staff member at the hotel who immediately stood up to greet guests upon seeing them! The only one! This small professional gesture of hers was like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, warming my heart! Recalling my check-in, there was a male and female staff member at the front desk. They did not stand up to greet us when guests checked in. When we received our room cards and got up to leave, they remained seated without moving. This is disrespectful to guests. Staff should stand up to greet guests when they arrive, ask them to sit down, and then sit down themselves to process the check-in. When guests receive their room cards and get up, the staff should also stand up to see them off. Such basic courtesies of polite welcome and farewell were completely lacking! On the day I checked in, I had two items of clothing that needed ironing. The female staff member who was on duty at the front desk that day came to our room to collect them. During the process of opening the door to see her, handing her the clothes, and briefly communicating with her, she maintained an ice-cold demeanor throughout, without a hint of a smile. She was not the only female staff member in this hotel who provided service without a smile. In summary, all these issues, and more, expose the hotel's unprofessional training and inadequate management. Sofitel Legend People's Grand Hotel Xian is not directly affiliated with the Sofitel group; it is part of the People's Grand Building owned by Shaanxi Urban Investment and Operations Group Co., Ltd., and is operated by AccorHotels, a French hotel management group. Therefore, the experience was vastly different from the Sofitel hotels I've stayed at abroad.

RRahabAKMy stay was excellent from start to finish, and the service was outstanding. I would especially like to thank Anna at the front desk for her professionalism, kindness, and constant support throughout my stay. She even gave me a gift before I left. I would also like to thank Han for helping me with my luggage — he was very helpful and polite. Every day, Anna kindly reminded me that sweet soup and milk were available and delivered them to my room. The hotel location is great, very convenient, and easy to access. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Xi’an ☺️

MM895858****Booking this hotel for my trip to Xi'an was an absolute pleasant surprise, exceeding all my expectations! I had reserved a room with a window facing the hallway, but the lovely lady at the front desk not only upgraded my room type but also included breakfast vouchers. The hotel is super close to both the Bell Tower and the Muslim Quarter. On our very first night, staff even came to our room with a late-night snack! The breakfast spread also had a fantastic variety. My only regret is that out of our three-day stay, I only managed to eat breakfast once.

SShoumiaoWe are five big men staying in, very comfortable, this is the homestay in the community, the decoration is very good, the surrounding is quiet, the facilities are complete, the floor heating is very warm, the windows are not cold, the fresh air conditioning is not wrong, the community management is very strict, surrounded by Wanda and two snack streets! Everything is eaten, but it is too comfortable to eat in the room. We deliberately packed it back for two nights. After eating, we played mahjong and poker... We didn’t want to go out to play; the surrounding traffic is very convenient, just a few steps away is the subway station; There are two bedrooms that are a small suite, one with a private bathroom, and two with a bathroom. The three bathrooms are really enough. In short, the big flat floor is really comfortable.

詠詠許The moment we stepped out of the elevator, a delightful aroma greeted us, leading us into the elegant lobby on the 16th floor. The decor here is tasteful and the atmosphere refined. Several friendly and professional front desk ladies provided excellent service during our check-in. Our room was spacious and comfortable, beautifully furnished, and fully equipped with all kinds of amenities and toiletries. The bed was wonderfully soft, ensuring a deep and restful sleep. Even the bathtub water temperature was just right, making bath time especially enjoyable. The hotel's location is near the Drum Tower, with a variety of restaurants in the vicinity. This is our top choice for a trip to Xi'an, and we will definitely return to this warm and wonderful place in the future! Every penny spent was worth it – the lavish breakfast, exquisite afternoon tea and late-night snacks, and the memorable red wine at the rooftop bar! I truly wish we had booked a few more nights! Many thanks to all the lovely ladies and gentlemen for their warm hospitality! 🌹

TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!) The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all. A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome. I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone. After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out. I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.

The room was meticulously clean, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, providing a truly relaxing sleep. I especially enjoyed the afternoon tea and the late-night noodle soup. A special shout-out to Aunt Guo Meizi, who prepared the late-night noodles – she made me feel right at home, it was so heartwarming. Breakfast offered a rich variety, with hot dishes, pastries, and drinks all available and delicious. The hotel's location is superb, making it easy to get around and go shopping. The area is exceptionally quiet at night. Overall, the value for money is outstanding, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel.
