I prefer these lesser-known places for taking kids over Disneyland (Part 1)

If you don’t want to deal with crowds during the holidays, I’ve sorted out 9 personally tested hidden gems for family outings. No need to queue, plenty of activities, perfect for a 2-3 day short trip, making it easy and stress-free for moms to take the kids out~ 1️⃣ Anji·Jiale Bi Amusement Park 🎫 Tickets: Children over 1.1 meters 90 RMB, under 1.1 meters free Booking the hotel + park package is super cost-effective! Includes 2 adult park tickets + 2 Jiangnan Tianchi ski tickets, great value~ Hotel guests can register two adults for free and use facial recognition for unlimited park entry and exit, You can play on check-in and check-out days without extra ticket lines! ⚠️ Skiing tip: Jiangnan Tianchi Ski Resort is about 30 km from the hotel, around a 20-minute drive. Be sure to bring gloves, ski goggles, and don’t forget sunscreen. ✨ Personally tested and fun We went at the end of Chinese New Year; although the hotel was full, there was basically no queue for attractions. We covered most of the park in half a day, much more comfortable than crowded Disneyland! There’s a play area for toddlers, open until 9 PM. The hotel has outdoor hot springs opening at 1 PM, and if you’re cold, you can choose a villa room (highly recommended!) There are also two large bathtubs indoors and outdoors; my son soaked in the tub and didn’t want to get out~ 🌿 Nearby to visit: Besides the included Jiangnan Tianchi skiing, you can visit Zhongnan Herb Garden nearby. The 60 RMB ticket lets you see giant pandas, and there’s a big lawn for picnics, perfect for staying an extra day to check it out~ 2️⃣ Qiandao Lake·Kaiyuan Resort ✨ Personally tested and fun Not only is there Senbo Water Park, but also an infinity pool and stunning lake views. The sunset over the orange sea in the evening is breathtaking. The resort has a children’s playground, non-powered amusement park, heated pool, and a pet feeding area. In summer, there’s also an outdoor Senbo park. 🌿 Nearby to visit: Don’t miss the Botanical Garden (30 RMB), Tianyu Mountain (50 RMB ticket + 30 RMB elevator), the popular lighthouse 🆓 and Beer Town 🆓, great for photos. 3️⃣ Tonglu·Shen’ao Ancient Village 📍 Location: Shen’ao Village, Jiangnan Town, Tonglu County, Hangzhou 🎫 Tickets: Ancient village free ✨ Personally tested and fun: A Southern Song Dynasty ancient village with cobblestone alleys and Hui-style architecture full of charm. The weathered walls show the passage of time, perfect for photos. 🌿 Nearby to visit: Daqi Mountain Forest Park, with healing streams and waterfalls, moderate difficulty forest trails, and a children’s play area. Then check out the Pioneer Yunxi Library, a countryside bookstore built on terraced fields, very quiet and peaceful~ 4️⃣ Jiaxing·Chocolate Town 🎫 Tickets: Adults 120 RMB / Children 60 RMB (under 1.1 meters free, buying online is 20 RMB cheaper than on-site) ✨ Personally tested and fun: Feels like stepping into Charlie’s Chocolate Factory, you can watch the chocolate-making process, see cocoa beans turn into chocolate, kids say “so magical.” DIY chocolate is super fun, 30 RMB per person to make your own shapes. 🌿 Nearby to visit: 10 minutes by car from Yunlan Bay Hot Spring Resort, perfect for a relaxing soak. 🌈 For detailed guides, check previous collections  A treasure trove of destinations worth visiting again and again
