Nestled at the foot of Mount Aso, Sozankyo is a traditional Japanese inn with a history spanning 70 years. Before it became an inn, the "Sugima" room, where the famous couple Tekkan and Akiko Yosano once stayed, remains preserved in its original state. Although the inn suffered damage during the Kumamoto Earthquake, it has been revitalized with a newly established hot spring source and a complete renovation of the premises. This modern Japanese-style inn harmoniously blends new comforts with timeless charm. On the first floor, there is a shochu bar, while the rooftop features a rooftop bar and two additional bars.
